Five application characteristics of slewing table bearings
Slewing table bearing is a kind of large-scale special structural bearing that can bear large axial load, radial load and overturning moment at the same time. Usually, it comes with mounting holes, lubricating oil holes and sealing devices, which can meet the different needs of various types of hosts under different working conditions. In addition, the slewing table bearing itself has the characteristics of compact structure, convenient guidance and rotation, easy installation and easy maintenance
Application 1, rust prevention
A special coating preserves the performance of the bearing. Despite the long durability of the equipment due to the special paint or oxidation treatment applied to the exterior surface, chrome plating (TDC) or nickel plating is commonly used to prevent rust.
Application 2: Lubrication and sealing
Most bearing failures are caused by improper lubrication or contamination with impurities. Spillage of grease is acceptable in many construction equipment (with or without seals), but for some other applications such as robots, positioning devices and controls. Grease leakage is not allowed. In many applications, grease leaks can have an impact on product quality and cause safety issues.
Application 3. Ball and roller isolation blocks
The rolling elements are usually separated by isolated blocks. This structure can maintain the smoothness of the movement, so it is widely adopted. Special applications require special ball or roller isolation blocks. Bearings mounted on horizontal shafts, continuously rotating generators, and bearings used in applications with high requirements for positioning and reliability, can be used with strip combination cages to keep the rolling elements in the correct circumferential position.
Fourth, gears
In many cases, it is possible to machine teeth on the inner or outer ring of the bearing to simplify the structure of the drive system. To avoid problems, it is advisable to seek the help of an expert in gear when determining the structure of the drive system.
Application 5: Selection of connection mode
The connection between the slewing table bearing and the frame and the rotating parts is mainly bolted. Therefore, the number, diameter, length, accuracy and especially installation of bolts are very important. Not only are bolts arranged differently for different applications, but also the inner and outer rings are different.
