On the occasion of the National Day, the paper-cutting class of the University for the Elderly ushered in a unique celebration - the art creation and exhibition with the theme of "Paper-cutting Class Celebrates the National Day". This is not only a display of skills, but also an expression of deep friendship for the motherland, and every moment of the cut contains our infinite blessings for the prosperity of the motherland.
Mr. Qiao held a sample of exquisite flower paper-cutting prepared in advance, and the delicate lines and vivid forms immediately attracted everyone's attention. "Students, today we will use flowers as a medium and use the scissors in our hands to cut out the most sincere blessings to the motherland."
In order for us to more accurately capture the charm of flowers in nature, Mr. Qiao proposed to go to the flower garden north of Hongxiangcheng Road for sketching. Everyone cheered and followed the teacher's steps and stepped into that colorful world.
Everyone squatted or stood, carefully observing the shape, color and texture of each flower. Mr. Qiao patiently instructed us how to design a pattern suitable for paper-cutting, from the smoothness of the lines to the stability of the structure, every detail strives for perfection.
As the scissors flutter and jump on the red paper, the vivid flowers gradually take shape. This flower sketch laid the foundation for how we can integrate these natural beauties into the creation of paper-cutting.
The most anticipated moment is the installation of the paper-cut works. The students worked together to hang the elaborate paper-cut works on the walls of the classroom, such as Cheng Baojun "Prosperous China", Wang Yufang "Always Follow the Party", Wang Shaofeng "Together to the Future", Ma Xiujuan "Red Heart to the Party", Meng Junyan "My Motherland and Me", Han Yujun "Harvest", Zhang Zhixin "Celebrating the National Day", Liu Likun "Bless the Motherland", ...... The paper-cut works full of patriotic feelings skillfully integrate traditional Chinese elements and modern design concepts, which are eye-catching.
When the last piece was hung up, the classroom burst into applause. This applause is not only an affirmation of our own hard work, but also the most affectionate confession to the motherland. Although the paper-cut is small, it carries big dreams and hopes; Although the National Day is short, our love and blessings for the motherland will continue forever. It is hoped that through this exhibition, more people will understand and love the traditional art of paper-cutting, and inherit and carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture. In the days to come, we will continue to work hard to create more and better works and inject new vitality into the development of paper-cutting art.
