At this year's Cannes Yachting Festival, Slovenia shipyard Greenline Yachts presented its latest flagship model, the impressive Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid flybridge yacht, highlighting its latest advances in hybrid yacht technology. A harmonious blend of luxury and sustainability, this flagship model is equipped with the revolutionary H-Drive 6G hybrid system and boasts the shipyard's most efficient technology to date, delivering 40% fewer emissions compared to conventional diesel yachts.
The Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid is attracting attention not only for its eco-certification, but also for its stunning design that combines efficiency with elegance. Naval architect Marco Casali's design creates an elegant, timeless silhouette that successfully minimizes the appearance of the flybridge while maximizing its usable space. Its expansive flybridge spans over 30 square metres and offers a range of social spaces for outdoor activities in the sun.
Outdoor life on the 58 Fly Hybrid is seamless. The flybridge is equipped with a well-equipped helm station and alongside a stylish bar area and dining table for six. Its clever design ensures safety and comfort, with a sturdy three-bar guardrail and a glass bulwark at the front. The stern of the main deck offers a multi-purpose space with a dining table surrounded by sofas and chairs with unobstructed views of the surroundings.
The bathing platform is accessed via elegant teak steps, another commendable feature of the Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid. It has a depth of almost 2 meters, enough to place loungers and chairs for an unrivalled seaside atmosphere, or use hydraulic controls to lower the platform into the sea, transforming it into a giant swimming step and providing storage space for annex boats weighing up to 500 kilograms.
The foredeck includes a seating area with a movable backrest, and the clever movable backrest/headrest serves a double role. There are cushions in front of the windows of the superstructure where there is a place for three people to rest.
Enter into an abundance of interiors with large windows and spacious kitchen designed to blend indoor and outdoor living. The galley is equipped with premium appliances and features a lift-up window and glass doors that open completely to the outside deck. The large storage space under the kitchen can be used for different purposes, such as a laundry room or a technical area. The salon offers multiple social areas, adjustable seating, and designer overhead lighting.
Greenline's design philosophy includes sustainability, utilising materials such as recycled fibres and responsibly sourced wood to ensure the yacht's footprint is minimized. There are two interior styles to choose from: one in cool shades of white and light blue, and the other in warm tones of beige and beige.
The accommodation is located on the lower deck and is accessed via stairs to the three cabins. Located in the middle of the boat, the owner's suite spans the entire width of the yacht and features large windows to enjoy the natural light and views. The suite includes a king-size bed, a sofa, a dressing table and a walk-in closet, as well as an en-suite bathroom. At the bow of the boat is a VIP double cabin with en-suite bathroom and elegant storage solution. The third cabin is located on the starboard side and can be configured as a twin or double room, or it can be converted into an office or TV room.
Greenline Yachts is committed to environmentally friendly practices, and the 58 Fly Hybrid exemplifies this mission, with a model that features the brand's "Super Displacement" hull design that optimizes performance at a wide range of speeds from 6 to 29 knots. The yacht's H-Drive 6G hybrid system has been developed over 15 years and travels up to 6 nautical miles at speeds of up to 20 knots in silent electric mode. There is no noise from the generator when mooring, so you can enjoy a peaceful experience.
The solar hard top further enhances its sustainability, equipped with a 4kW solar array that powers the ship's service facilities and allows for long mooring without relying on fossil fuels. Coupled with a high-quality lithium polymer battery, the yacht can remain self-sufficient for several days, especially if air conditioning is not required.
The hybrid system is designed for silent handling at low speeds, and the diesel engine provides additional power for long drives. The combination of electric and diesel modes is designed to deliver performance and efficiency.
In addition to the Greenline 58 Fly Hybrid, Greenline Yachts also showcased the Greenline 48 Coupe and Greenline 45 Fly models at the event. More than 100 units of both models have been sold and are available in a variety of engine configurations, including Yanmar's HVO (Renewable Diesel) engine, which runs on sustainable HVO fuel.
Greenline's philosophy includes more than just eco-friendly features; It also emphasizes speed and efficiency, catering to different cruising scenarios. As owner Vladimir Zinchenko explains: "Our responsible approach to yachting allows owners to choose between speed and efficiency. ”
