According to the residents of the street, on the afternoon of June 3, 2024, 5 buildings were destroyed due to a tornado at No. (3), Aung Zeya Road, Teng Gong Street, Mon State, Detong City, Myanmar.
According to a resident of the street, at around 7 p.m. on June 3, although it did not rain, a tornado hit after a storm blew and swept away the house.
The resident continued:
"The iron galvanized sheet roofs of the five houses were all torn off.
The tin covers of the pools in other streets have been overturned.
No one was hurt.
When the tornado came, the iron sheets were hovering in the air. ”
Members of the Detong Township Fire Brigade and the Detong City Social Rescue Team worked with the residents of the street to clean up the area after the tornado.
