The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is ranked 84th in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025, up three places from last year, and has been ranked among the world's top 100 universities for four consecutive years, a testament to PolyU's influence and achievements in global higher education.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 cover 2,092 universities in 115 countries and territories around the world, and examine their teaching and research outcomes across 18 indicators in five areas: teaching and research environment, research quality, international outlook and industry.
PolyU has performed well in a number of research-related indicators, including full scores in "Publications per Capita" and "Research Excellence" for two consecutive years, and the highest score in "Research Strength" among Hong Kong institutions. The "Research Income per Faculty Member" and "Research Impact" also received excellent results.
