Reprint--Analysis|Study on the hydraulic characteristics of the start-up process of the pump turbine
Source: Huang Wenlong, et al. Brother Bao
It is found that when the pump turbine is turned on to the no-load state, due to the small opening of the guide vane and the rapid rise of the speed, a water ring with a high rate is formed in the bladeless area, and a large number of complex vortex structures are filled in the runner flow channel, which leads to a sudden drop in flow and torque. The action and speed of the guide vane have a direct influence on the change law of radial force and axial force, and the change trend of the radial force of the runner during the start-up process is basically the same as that of the active guide vane. The trend of axial force is basically consistent with the change of unit speed, and the value of speed and axial water thrust is generally increasing.
