Isn't it really fun, I didn't participate, so, it's not convenient to say more, just talk about Alxa, the heroes of history here will be.
Let's start with the place names. There is a saying that "Alxa" is Mongolian, meaning "colorful land"; there is also a saying that the word "Alxa" is derived from the ancient Turkic language, which is another transliteration of "Helan", meaning a monster in ancient legends, "barge". It is once mentioned in the Classic of Mountains and Seas: "The mountain of Zhongqu ... There are beasts, which are as strong as horses and have a white body and black tail, a horn, tiger teeth and claws, a sound like a drum, and its name is called a repulse, which is a tiger-eating leopard, and can be a soldier. "It seems to resemble the unicorn of Western legend.
So, what exactly does "Alxa" mean? Let's take a look at a local historical record: in the twenty-fifth year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1686), the leader of the Heshuo special tribe and Luoli, because of the chaos of the Dzungar tribe, led the troops to the Helan Mountain area, and the Qing court was willing to beg for submission, and asked for the allocation of pasture land for the pastoral. The Qing court designated the area west of the Helan Mountains as the pastoral land of the Heshuo Special Department, and according to the example of compiling the Forty-Nine Banners of Mongolia, the Heshuo Special Department was organized into the Alxa and (Huo) Shuo Special Banners. According to the phonetic transliteration of Alxa Helan Mountain, the name of Alxa and Shuote is the unity of local names and tribal names.
In this passage, people read that "Alxa" is "Helan Mountain", and reading them together several times makes it obvious whether they are correct or not. The Desert Gobi is named after a mountain here, just like Alxa's propaganda slogan today – with a vast and magical sky. A Piece of Gobi Land, here into a mountain, the same name as the mountain, although lying flat and stable, there is no sense of towering, but it gives people a feeling of fierce grandeur, like a small stone on the Gobi land, with great ambition to become a majestic mountain range.
It is for my understanding of the name "Alxa".
Let's talk about Helan Mountain. Some people say that it is Mongolian, which means horse, or galloping horse, but, ridiculously, a poet named Wei Toad wrote a poem like this in the Tang Dynasty:
The orchard under Helan Mountain is formed, and the north of the river is famous.
Mizuki Wanjia Zhuhu is dark, and the bow knife thousand teams are iron-clad.
The source of the heart is a general, and the courage is used in the army.
But the sons of the six times, Ma Qian, did not believe that they were scholars.
Today, people call Yinchuan Saibei Jiangnan certainly have something to do with this poem, and "Helan Mountain Under the Orchard Cheng" tells people the fact that the Tang Dynasty was several centuries away from the rise of the Mongols in the 13th century. In this regard, experts said that the "Helan Mountain" derived from Mongolian is wrong, but it is universal, that is, it must be used if it is wrong. This may be somewhat self-righteous and self-righteous.
There is also a saying among local scholars and professors that "Helan Mountain" comes from the ancient Turkic language, but unfortunately, "Helan" has appeared as early as 540 AD, and the word Turk began to appear in Chinese annals. The Sui Shu Geographical Chronicle records that Lingwu County unified six counties, and in Hongjing County, it is said that in the eleventh year of the Kai Emperor, there was Helan Mountain. Even earlier than this was the Xiongnu, whose tribes included the Huyan, Lan and Xubu tribes. These three tribes were all nomadic in the Helan Mountains, and the former two Huyan and Lan were often mixed together, and were collectively known as the "Hulan Tribes", so they called this mountain range within their own activities As Helan Mountain, which is also the earliest origin of the name of Helan Mountain. In this regard, the experts who came to call "Helan Mountain" from the ancient Turkic language also said that the Huns did not have their own language, they spoke ancient Turkic language. Right? I can't tell, but I know that there is another theory, that is, the Xiongnu, especially the ruling class, speak Ancient Chinese, and the "Historical Record" says that the Xiongnu, whose ancestors, the Miao descendants of the Xia Hou clan, are also known as Chunwei.
Therefore, the names of "Alxa" and "Helan Mountain" are clearly stated here, and Sima Qian, who is respected by later generations as Shi Qian, Tai Shi Gong, and the father of history, is definitely a university scholar and great expert who was born more than 2,000 years earlier than our current experts and scholars. People should believe in Him and listen to Him. Although ancient Turkic place names have a certain existence in China's place names, at least "Helan Mountain" is not, and "Alxa" is not.

There were two battles of Hexi about the Western Han Dynasty. First in the spring of the second year of the Yuan Dynasty (121 BC), Huo was appointed as a general of the Huns and led 10,000 cavalry alone to attack the Xiongnu. After he led his army from Longxi County, he crossed the Wujian Mountains, crossed the Yellow River, cut down the Pubu, quickly beheaded the King of Pu, waded into the fox slave water, and fought for more than a thousand miles in six days, breaking through the five kingdoms of the Xiongnu, and defeating the small kings of Hexi as if they were destroying the decay.
The Wulu Mountain in this historical data may be the Gaolan Mountain in present-day Lanzhou, and it is also said that it is Quwu Mountain at the southeastern end of present-day Jingyuan County, Gansu; the Kuipu Department should be in the area of Wusheling, a small tribe of Xiongnu, who once married shan Yu; FoxNu Water or Shiyang River, some say that the Shiyang River in present-day Wuwei City, Gansu Province, was called Fox Nu Shui in ancient times.
The second time was in the summer of the same year, when Emperor Wu of Han ordered Huo to lead an army to attack the Hexi region for the second time, and sent Gongsun Ao, the Marquis of Heqi, to accompany him on the expedition. Huo first crossed the Yellow River from present-day Lingwu, Ningxia, crossed the Helan Mountains to the north, waded through the vast Tengger Desert and badain Jaran Desert, detoured through Juyanhai (northwest of present-day Inner Mongolia), turned from north to south, advanced along the weak water, passed through the Xiaoyue clan (the Yueshi people who had not migrated west, in present-day Jiuquan, Gansu), and then turned from northwest to southeast, penetrated more than 2,000 miles into the territory of the Xiongnu, and launched a fierce attack from the flank of the Hun Evil King and the HuTu King's army in the weak water upstream area between the Qilian Mountains and the Heli Mountains. Subsequently, the Hexi Corridor was opened. However, Gongsun Ao was unable to join Huo's sick army because he had taken the wrong path.
That is to say, around the gobi of the desert in Alashan, Gongsun Ao got lost, and the big hero Huo went to the disease and failed, and also let the hero run alone on the battlefield, and in the exciting victory, he had more regretful courage and tragedy. This, people can't complain that Gongsun Ao is too stupid, whether it was then or now, the road is not good.
This place in Alxa is also called Alxa Plateau, Alxa Desert, called Plateau because it is part of the Inner Mongolia Plateau, called desert because it is the three major deserts in its territory, namely the Badain Jaran Desert, the Tengger Desert and the Ulan Buhe Desert, which is the southernmost part of the Gobi Desert and is also the collective name of these three deserts. Crossing this place to the north is what the history books call the desert north, the north of the desert. The Alxa Desert covers an area of 80,000 square kilometers, which belongs to the second largest desert in China and the fourth largest desert in the world. From the map, these deserts are almost connected, and the road, of course, is good to go. This may be something that some of us who play Heroes Club today don't know yet.
Today, the Alxa League has a total of 3 banners, the Ejina Banner is in the northernmost part, the right banner is in the middle, and the left banner is attached to Yinchuan. This road was about 3 years ago, from Jiuquan in the Hexi Corridor to Ejin Na Banner, then to the Right Banner, the Left Banner, and from the Left Banner back to Yinchuan. At that time, the map with it had not yet marked the road from Ejina Banner to Right Banner, but it was only after questioning that it was known, and I stayed in a town of Yabulai for one night, which was a taste of the magic and magnificence of the desert.
By the way, from the right banner, you can go straight to Shandan in the Hexi Corridor and enter the LiheShan (Zhangye area), the main battlefield of the Han army's war with the Xiongnu, but Huo Wentyi did not go this way at that time, but went to Juyan (Ejina) to Jiuquan, and then opened the Hexi Corridor to the east. This may be the method of roundabout combat he adopts in the large depth of the outer line.
In this way, I can also be regarded as following the footsteps of the hero's conquest in that year, and as far as today's hero meeting is concerned, I very much want to say that in history, the hero's meeting in Alashan was to open up the frontier of the motherland, but the current people have rewritten it into a word - play. In this regard, I can only say that the large number of people who go may not be very good, and it may affect the local ecological protection and construction. Different times, heroes will be different? Obviously, the name of the hero club that plays off-road today comes from the latter, but when playing, everyone may at least have to know what is going on in Alxa, what kind of footprints the hero has, and Huo's disease is just one of them.
