It was this report that made Jiao Yulu's glorious image widely known and influenced the spiritual world of several generations. One of the authors of this newsletter is Mu Qing, a well-known journalist who was the president of the Xinhua News Agency.
Writing Jiao Yulu, Mu Qing poured all his energy and feelings into tears. "What is passion, my experience is to the point of self-forgetfulness, your thoughts and feelings will be in the character, even if you do one thing, wash your face and eat subconsciously." 」 In addition, Mu Qing also wrote about zhao Zhankui, a model worker, Pan Congzheng, an "old resolute" who planted trees and controlled sand, Wu Jichang, a hero of cotton planting, and Ren Yangcheng, a labor model in Hongqiqu.

Mu Qing, who joined the revolution at the age of 16, was a journalist who came out of the people, was blessed by the people, trained in the grassroots, and was a young leading cadre with old qualifications in the press by the time of the liberation of the whole country. During the 10 years he presided over Xinhua News Agency, he encouraged journalists to go deep into all aspects of social life, corners and corners, and "march toward the depth and breadth of life." He himself led by example, often going down to the grassroots level to conduct interviews. In Henan, there are stories of Mu Qing's seven visits to Lankao, eight lower Fugou, four to Ningling, Shijinhui County, and two Hongqi Canals, traveling all over Zhongzhou, and making friends with grass-roots cadres and ordinary farmers. He also supported the development of ethnic minority journalism and strengthened various forms of ethnic reporting; his new idea of "words and pictures flying in both wings" has promoted the development of Chinese photojournalism from backwardness and taken a decisive step in marching towards the world's news agencies.
While successfully leading a 10,000-person news agency to achieve brilliant achievements, Mu Qing never put down the pen and camera in his hand, and his brushstrokes and lenses were always facing the people. Mu Qing always wanted to write about Liang Lei, a middle school teacher, but it was not until he went to Shanxi for the first time after retirement to worship in front of Liang Lei's tomb that he supplemented the interview and wrote it for more than 50 years; Mu Qing met Ren Yangcheng from 1966 and did not write it until 1994; Zheng Yonghe, who was in love with the people, and Mu Qing had known each other for more than 20 years, met and interviewed in depth 6 times before writing a report. These characters are brewing in his heart for a long time, turning thousands of times, like old wine, as soon as it is opened, it is naturally fragrant.
"Write one, live one, ring one" is people's evaluation of Mu Qing's character reports. Why was his report so successful? The secret is that he has a deep affection for the people. "Don't forget the people" is Mu Qing's famous saying.

In May 1996, at the age of 75, Mu Qing collected the in-depth reports of ten advanced Communist Party members he excavated from real life through going deep into the masses and the reality of life, conducting investigations and studies, into a book entitled "Ten Communist Party Members", dedicated to the 75th birthday of the Party.
The thin copy of "Ten Communist Party Members" is the history of the struggle of a generation of outstanding Communist Party members, as well as the spiritual history of fighting in the midst of suffering and shouldering the responsibility for the times for the people. It is one of the peaks created by Mu Qing and other predecessors of Xinhua for the future generation of newsmen, which is not only a spur to our generation, but also a call to us, calling us to climb, calling us to transcend. "Ten Communist Party Members", a collection of character newsletters, has triumphed over decades of time, and has now guided future generations of newsmakers to "count the popular figures and look at the present dynasty."
In 2021, in order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Comrade Mu Qing's birth, Xinhua Publishing House launched a revised edition of the book "Ten Communist Party Members".
