On the morning of October 27, 2021, Comrade Wu Tao, member of the Party Committee and deputy director of the Guanshanhu Branch of the Guiyang Municipal Public Security Bureau, suddenly fell ill at his post, and after all-out rescue was ineffective, he died in the line of duty at 11:35, at the age of 49.

Wu Tao, male, Han ethnicity, born in August 1972, a member of the Communist Party of China, university degree, joined the public security work in July 1992, before his death, he was a member of the party committee, deputy director and fourth-level senior police chief of the Guanshanhu Branch of the Guiyang Municipal Public Security Bureau.

Comrade Wu Tao successively served as the deputy chief of the industry management section of the public security brigade of the Yunyan Branch of the Guiyang Municipal Public Security Bureau, the director of the Sanqiao Police Station, the director of the Beijing Road Police Station, etc., and in September 2012, he was appointed as the deputy director of the New District Police Station of the Jinyang Branch of the Guiyang Municipal Public Security Bureau (presided over the work), and since August 2013, he has been a member of the Party Committee and deputy director of the Guanshanhu Branch of the Guiyang Municipal Public Security Bureau.

In the past 29 years since joining the police, Comrade Wu Tao has worked diligently, endured grievances, dared to take responsibility, fulfilled the solemn promise of "loyalty to the party, service to the people, fairness in law enforcement, and strict discipline" with practical actions, and composed the song of dedication of the people's public security for the people with his life.
