Please give support! Rok officials visit China hoping that the Chinese side will lighten the burden of tax inspections on Korean enterprises

According to the news of the South Korean National TaxAtion Agency on the 5th, Han Shengxi, director of the South Korean National TaxAtion Agency, met with Chinese officials in Beijing on the same day, and the two sides exchanged views on tax reform, tax collection and management, and the construction of tax credit system. South Korea's "Asian Economy" reported on September 6 that it is worth mentioning that this is the 23rd meeting between the ministers of the Rokchin-China TaxAtion Bureau since 1996, and it is also the first time that the heads of the Rok-China Taxation Bureau have held a joint meeting since the establishment of the Moon Jae-in government.

According to the report, during the meeting, South Korea and China actively created a good tax environment and promoted bilateral trade and investment on mutual trust and cooperation, and Han Seung-hee actively sought tax facilities for South Korean enterprises in China. Han Seung-hee expressed his hope to Wang Jun that he hoped that China would provide positive tax support for Korean enterprises in China, and asked China to reduce the tax inspection burden on Korean enterprises and implement as soon as possible the agreements reached between the two countries on the Mutual Agreement Procedure (MAP) to avoid duplication of taxation and the Advance Pricing Arrangement (APA) for exempting tax inspections.

After South Korea announced the deployment of THAAD last year, a number of Korean companies in China, including Lotte Mart, were seized for fire hazards such as the occupation of fire evacuation passages in business halls, the occupation of some safety exits, and the insufficient number of fire extinguishers. Not only that, the "THAAD" contradiction has led to a sharp decline in sales and poor performance of Korean retail and consumer goods companies such as Lotte Mart and Hyundai Motor. This time, Han Seung-hee will hold a symposium with Korean companies in China to listen to opinions.

Han Seung-hee will also visit the local INTERNAL Taxation Bureaus of beijing, Shanghai, and Jiangsu, where Korean enterprises are concentrated, to hold earnest talks in the local areas and convey his opinions to the local IRS bureaus, requesting relevant departments to give support and solve problems for Korean enterprises.

On the THAAD issue, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said that China's resolute opposition to the US deployment of THAAD in the ROK is clear, consistent and firm. The deployment of THAAD in the ROK will not only fail to resolve the security concerns of the countries concerned, but will seriously undermine the regional strategic balance, damage the strategic security interests of countries in the region, including China, and at the same time aggravate tension and confrontation on the peninsula and make the peninsula issue more complicated. China strongly urges the United States and the ROK to attach importance to the security interests and concerns of China and other regional countries, immediately stop the relevant deployment process, and remove relevant equipment.
