On the Monument to the Martyrs of the Southern Liang Revolution in Liyuanbao Village, Huachi County, Gansu Province, the names of 609 martyrs, including Liu Zhidan, Xie Zichang, and Yang Sen, are engraved, and Wang Taiji, commander of the 42nd Division of the Red 26th Army, is listed among them. Xi Zhongxun praised: "Wang Taiji's spirit of awe-inspiring, calm and righteous, and courageous dedication to the great righteousness of the revolution is particularly worthy of our admiration and study. ”
Launch an uprising and inspire fighting spirit. In May 1924, at the age of 18, Wang Taiji was admitted to the first phase of the Whampoa Military Academy in Guangzhou. During his time at the school, he was influenced by Zhou Enlai, Yun Daiying and other Communists, accepted Marxist ideas, and soon joined the Communist Party of China. In May 1928, he and Tang Shu, Liu Zhidan, Xu Quanzhong led the Weihua Uprising and were appointed chief of staff of the Northwest Workers' and Peasants' Revolutionary Army. The insurrectionary forces combined with the local peasant movement to fight local tyrants, divide grain, and assist local party organizations in creating a red regime. After the failure of the uprising, he went to Nanzhao County, Henan Province, to engage in secret revolutionary activities. Later, he lost contact with the party organization and served in Yang Hucheng's department.
At dawn on July 21, 1933, the ancient city of Yaoxian was filled with gunfire. Under the leadership of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, Wang Taiji led more than a thousand cavalry regiments of the Kuomintang 17th Route Army to revolt and announced the establishment of the "Northwest People's Anti-Japanese Volunteer Army". Wang Taiji served as the commander-in-chief of the Volunteer Army, and the province appointed Liu Ying as the director of the political department. The rebel troops quickly confiscated the guns of the Hu Jingquan Militia Regiment and the Lei Tianyi Security Regiment in Yao County, incorporated their troops, occupied the county seat of Yao County, posted notices, and telegraphed the whole country.
After the establishment of the volunteer army, a military-civilian congress was held, Zhang Hengyi, the reactionary district governor of the southern district of YaoXian County, and others were openly executed, and the property of the two large landlords in the city and the grain stored by the county government were confiscated and distributed, which greatly aroused the enthusiasm of the broad revolutionary masses for struggle and expanded the influence of the anti-Japanese resistance. Seven days later, Wang Taiji led the volunteer army to March to Sanyuan, and on the way encountered Sun Youren's troops who came to "encircle and suppress", and after a long fierce battle, the troops were scattered. Wang Taiji led more than a hundred people to break through the siege and arrived at the Zhaojin revolutionary base area, where he was warmly welcomed by the party and government leaders of the Shaanxi-Gansu Border Region, qin Wushan, Xi Zhongxun, Zhang Xiushan, and Li Miaozhai. The Yaoxian uprising dealt a heavy blow to the arrogance of the Kuomintang reactionaries, effectively encouraged the fighting spirit of the people in the northwest to resist Japan and save the country, and made important contributions to strengthening the Shaanxi-Gansu Red Army and expanding the revolutionary base areas in Shaanxi-Gansu-Gansu.
With less than more, wei zhen Shaanxi and Gansu. On August 14, 1933, the Special Committee of the Shaanxi-Gansu Border Region of the Communist Party of China held a meeting of Chen Jiapo and decided to establish the Provisional General Headquarters of the Red Army in the Shaanxi-Gansu Border Region, with Wang Taiji as the commander-in-chief. In accordance with the spirit of the Chen Jiapo meeting, Wang Taiji decided to carry out guerrilla warfare on the Shaanxi-Gansu border and to take the initiative and flexibly strike at the enemy.
In order to smash the new round of "encirclement and suppression" of the Kuomintang army against the Jin revolutionary base area, the main force of the Red Army took the initiative to leave Zhaojin, go north to Longdong, and decided to make a long-distance attack on Heshui County. Heshui County is a cross-mountain city, shaped like a gourd, the highest point of the mountain is called the gourd handle, built with a strong bunker. On the evening of October 15, the Red Army soldiers approached heshui County. After comprehensively analyzing the enemy situation and terrain, Wang Taiji decided to adopt the method of sneak attack, selecting more than 20 witty and brave commanders and fighters to form a commando team to climb the city and brave the rain to reach the predetermined climbing site. Wang Taiji ordered the commandos to build a ladder to climb the city wall, the commando Chai Zhengxiang took the way of climbing the city wall and dropped the rope when the ladder was too short, and the follow-up commandos scrambled to grab the rope and climb to the head of the city, eliminating a group of enemies sleeping in the bunker, and the other commandos occupied the East City Gate Tower. After nearly an hour of fierce fighting, the Red Army triumphantly occupied the whole city, opened the prison, and rescued more than 80 revolutionary comrades and toiling masses who were imprisoned by the enemy. The prestige of the Red Army guerrillas was greatly shaken, and the poor people of the Shaanxi-Gansu Border Region rejoiced.
On the evening of October 27, Liu Zhidan and Wang Taiji led their troops to take a short rest at Maogou Gate. At dawn on October 28, the Kuomintang army took the opportunity to attack from Maogou Gate Xixinjiagou and the mountains on the south side. Liu Zhidan and Wang Taiji decided to withdraw the main force of the Red Army to Beishan, seize the commanding heights, and control the favorable terrain. When the enemy rushed to the mountain like a swarm, Wang Taiji shouted with a shell gun: "The enemy has been pursuing us for many days, and today we will charge together to eliminate this enemy!" When the arrogant enemy entered the place where the Red Army was ambushed about 10 meters, Wang Taiji shouted "fight", and the urgent charge horn immediately sounded. Wang Taiji jumped up, waved his hand and shouted, "Follow me, rush!" Suddenly, the Red Army soldiers who were ambushed in the grass jumped up in unison, like a fierce tiger descending the mountain, causing the enemy to be dizzy and retreat down the mountain, and the enemy behind him collapsed without a fight. In the Battle of Maogou Gate, the Red Army won a great victory with fewer victories and a great victory, killing and capturing more than 200 enemy people, surrendering more than 200 guns, and capturing a large number of ammunition and other materials. Since then, the Red Army in Shaanxi and Gansu has been famous and mighty. After this battle, Zhao Wenzhi's regiment collapsed and never restored its regimental structure.
Bravely go to the enemy camp and martyr the country. From November 3 to 5, 1933, the Cpc Shaanxi-Gansu Border Region Special Committee and the Provisional General Headquarters of the Red Army held a meeting in Baojiazhai and decided to abolish the Provisional General Headquarters of the Red Army in the Shaanxi-Gansu Border Region, restore the Red Twenty-sixth Army, and establish the Forty-second Division, with Wang Taiji as the division commander and Liu Zhidan as the chief of staff. In December, the main force of the Red Forty-second Division went south to help the Three-Way Guerrillas establish a base area. During the operation, I heard that nearly 10,000 people from Liu Guitang's "People's Army" in Shandong had driven to the border of Henan and Shaanxi. In order to expand the revolutionary ranks, Wang Taiji demanded that the old connections be used to persuade Liu Guitang to resist the Japanese, in his words, "go out and set a fire." Liu Zhidan, considering safety, advised not to take risks. Wang Taiji believed that he had many old comrades and subordinates, and that he was relatively sure of the work of carrying out the military movement, and decided to personally go deep into the enemy camp and persuade Liu Guitang to revolt.
In early January 1934, after the Battle of Grapevine Gate, the main force of the Red Army drove to Heshui Taibai to rest, and the Party Committee of the Red Twenty-fourth Division held a party committee meeting in Lianjiaping, agreeing that Wang Taiji resigned as the commander of the Red Forty-second Division, leave the unit to engage in military movement work, and Liu Zhidan would take over as the commander of the division. At the end of January, Wang Taiji changed his clothes and secretly set off from the division headquarters, passing through Heshui, Ning County, Yao County, Tongchuan and other places, and arrived at Chunhua Qiangjia Mountain on February 15. That night, in Tongrun Town, Chunhua County, Ma Yun, an old acquaintance and head of the security regiment of the third district, was betrayed and arrested. On the wall of the detention room, Wang Taijiliushi sighed: "Twenty-eight years old is empty, for the sake of the deceased into the snare; the fox crow befriends me, and I am ashamed to see how things are." ”
Soon after, Wang Taiji was escorted to Xi'an. Before his execution, he was awe-struck by righteousness and wrote a desperate poem about the mighty mountains and rivers: "Kun Han vibrates the drums of the mountains and rivers, and Xiao Guan frequently turns the universe red." Thousands of miles away, the dream soul should know to send sorrow. On March 3, 1934, Wang Taiji was heroically righteous in the Military Justice Department of the Xi'an Appeasement Office, at the age of 28.
