It is understood that this panda was photographed by an infrared monitoring camera placed at an altitude of about 2,000 meters in the Longchi area.

At first, the staff thought that the giant panda was the previously released Qinxin or small walnut, and then through the high comparison with the surrounding herbs, they finally speculated that the giant panda was sub-adult, not the qinxin or small walnut that had been released before being released. Zhu Dahai, director of the Longchi Pipe And Protection Station, said that the specific age of the giant panda was between two and three years old, and it may have just come out of its mother's territory to find a new collar, and was accidentally discovered when passing by the infrared camera.

In recent years, rare animal pictures such as the national treasure giant panda, the "Monkey King", the snow leopard known as the alpine spirit, and the flock of twisted horned antelope have appeared in the Chengdu area of the Giant Panda National Park. The relevant person in charge of the area said that the emergence of the sub-adult wild giant panda reflects that the number of wild giant pandas in Chengdu is gradually increasing, and further highlights the remarkable results of the pilot system and biodiversity conservation of the giant panda national park.
