Lankao County is located in the northeast of Henan Province, with a total area of 1116. 2 square kilometers, of which the arable land area is 785. 8 square kilometers. It is bordered by Dongming County and Cao County of Shandong Province to the north and east, Minquan County and Qi County to the southeast and south, Kaifeng City to the west, and Fengqiu County and Changyuan County to the northwest across the Yellow River.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Lanfeng and Kaocheng counties were under the leadership of the Chen Liu Special Bureau; In June 1952, it was transferred to the exclusive leadership of Zhengzhou. In June 1954, Lanfeng and Kaocheng counties were merged to be called Lankao County. The county government is located in the former Lanfeng County, and the affiliation relationship remains unchanged. In April 1955, Lankao County was transferred to Kaifeng District. In December 1977, it was assigned to Shangqiu District. In August 1980, it returned to kaifeng area. In June 1983, Kaifeng District was abolished, and Lankao County was subordinated to Kaifeng City. In 2011, Lankao County implemented a direct management system in Henan Province.

The result is the formation of three major disasters: wind and sand, waterlogging, and salinity. In the 1950s and 1960s, there were more than 80 outlets in Lankao, 360,000 mu of wind and sand land, 240,000 mu of waterlogged land, and 260,000 mu of saline land, while the arable land area of Lankao at that time was less than one million.
Today's Lankao has a new look, from the former economic depression to the cornucopia of the economy, with high-rise buildings and bright lights, without the shadow of poverty, not only rich in industrial pattern, but also improved in the material life of the people and the appearance of the countryside.

Jiao Yulu Memorial Park is located in The North Guanyuan Yellow River Embankment Sand Dune in Lankao County, Henan Province, was founded in February 1966, covers an area of 91.7 acres, and consists of the Revolutionary Martyrs Monument, jiao Yulu Martyrs' Tomb, Comrade Jiao Yulu Memorial Hall and Jiao Tonglin.
Comrade Jiao Yulu Memorial Hall is located on the west side of the cemetery, which is a modern new-style building, completed in April 1994, with a construction area of 2100 square meters.
On the third floor of the front of the museum, the "Comrade Jiao Yulu Memorial Hall" inlaid directly above the gate is personally inscribed by Comrade Jiang Zemin. Now it is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.
The Lankao County Cultural Exchange Center began construction in 2012, was completed in early July 2014, and officially opened to the public on October 1, 2015. The original intention of the construction of the place was named "Jiao Yulu Spiritual and Cultural Park", and later renamed "Lankao County Cultural Exchange Center" to enrich its connotation.
After the completion of the cultural exchange center, it is a public cultural infrastructure integrating culture, leisure, entertainment, visiting and learning.
The first floor is the "Lankao County Exhibition Hall", with a construction area of about 6800 square meters and an exhibition hall area of about 5300 square meters. The exhibition hall includes four exhibition halls: Jiao Yulu's deeds exhibition hall, today's Lankao exhibition hall, Lankao County History exhibition hall, and temporary exhibition hall. Now it is a national "AAA-level scenic spot".
Seeing the paulownia tree, I think of Jiao Yulu! This paulownia tree was planted by Jiao Yulu himself in the spring of 1963 and commemorated by the side of the tree.
In order to commemorate Comrade Jiao Yulu, the people of Lankao called this paulownia tree "JiaoTong". Today, the tree has grown to a towering tree of 21 meters in height, and it is still leafy. And now the Orchid Archaeological Kite derived from Paulownia has become a new business card of Lankao!
The Yellow River has created an extremely complex topography in Lankao County, and has also formed a number of unique Yellow River scenery such as tidal flats, Hexinzhou and Hewan wetlands, with wide river surfaces, gushing rapids, and ancient crossings of the Yellow River, constituting a beautiful ecological landscape map of the Yellow River.
At present, Mao Zedong inspected the Yellow River Memorial Pavilion, the Yellow River Ancient Ferry, the Jiaolin Memorial Hall, the Great Song Agricultural Ecological Park and other tourist attractions, the scenery of this section of the river is very spectacular, one of the landmark landscapes of the Yellow River, and is one of the famous "Yellow River Wetland Nature Reserves" in Henan Province.

Zhangzhuang Village is a traditional village on the last bend of the Jiuqu Yellow River in the Yudong Plain, which was once the largest outlet in Lankao County, and due to the harsh natural conditions, the economy of Zhangzhuang Village has not been developed for a long time. In March 1963, Jiao Yulu led the three pest elimination team to investigate the outlet here.
In recent years, Zhangzhuang rural tourism in the county party committee and county government using the government-driven, company development, mass self-construction and other models, and introduced incentive policies, to encourage more than 40 farmers to carry out housing renovation, Zhangzhuang rural tourism has been fully flowered, synchronous advancement.
At present, there are 1 rural cadre training center, 1 Tonghua Bookstore, 1 era memory folk customs museum, Zhangzhuang Village "eliminating three harms" task force headquarters, Zhangzhuang cloth shoe handicraft workshop 1, Zhangzhuang Jingxuan wheat straw painting 1, catering and accommodation 3, and initially built a set of leisure, entertainment, catering, accommodation in one of the "Dream Zhangzhuang".

Jiao Yulu Spiritual Experience Education Base is located in the south of Zhangzhuang Village, Batou Township, covering an area of more than 120 acres, developed on the basis of retaining the style of the sand dunes of that year, and was initially completed and opened to the public on October 1, 2016.
