1. Chen Guang, Commander of the 343rd Brigade
Chen Guang, a native of Chenzhou, Hunan Province, participated in the Shonan Rebellion in 1928, accompanied Zhu De and Chen Yi to Jinggangshan, and successively served as company commander, battalion commander, regiment commander, and division commander. During the Long March, he has always served as a forward, and has rushed to cross the river boundary river crossing and fought bloody battles on the Xiang River. The Red Army was reorganized into the Eighth Route Army, then the brigade commander of the 343rd Brigade, and was the main force in the Battle of Pingxingguan, and soon after ambushed the Japanese army at Guangyang, achieving a major victory. Later, he led his troops into Shandong and opened up the Shandong base area.
2. Brigade Commander Zhang Zongxun of the 358th Brigade
Zhang Zongxun, a native of Shaanxi, participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising and rose from company commander to division commander. At the time of the Long March, he was the commander of the 4th Division of the Red 3rd Army, and he fought bloodily at Loushan Pass and fought for Lao Yashan. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he was the commander of the 358th Brigade, and he ambushed the Japanese army at Yanmen Pass and won the first victory against Japan. Soon after, he ambushed the Japanese army in talc and destroyed more than 700 Japanese troops. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was awarded the rank of general.
3. Chen Bojun, brigade commander of the 359th Brigade
Chen Bojun, a native of Sichuan, participated in the Autumn Harvest Uprising and rose from platoon commander to division commander. At the time of the Long March, he was the chief of staff of the Red 5th Army, assisting the regimental commander Dong Zhentang as a cover behind the palace and repelling all the enemy pursuits. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, he served as the brigade commander of the 359th Brigade, and participated in the Battle of Chenzhuang under the command of He Long, eliminating more than 1,000 Japanese troops. 4. Wang Hongkun, brigade commander of the 385th Brigade
A native of Hubei, Wang Hongkun participated in the Jute Uprising in 1927 and served as a squad leader and platoon leader in the Red Army until he was a military commander. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, he was the commander of the 385th Brigade, vigorously attacking the Japanese army with guerrilla warfare, and completely annihilating the elite Japanese army in the battle of Pinghan Road.
