What is history: it is the echo of the past to the future, the reflection of the future on the past. - Hugo
Da Da Da Field once said: "Patriotism is deeply rooted in human instincts and feelings. Patriotism is magnified filial piety. "It is true that in everyone's heart, there are the most unique emotions for their motherland.
We often advocate the unity of home and country, not only hoping that we love the motherland as we love our own little family, but also hoping that we will assume responsibility for the motherland. Those who once fought for the motherland, those heroes who have been precipitated in the long river of history, have become our most precious memories.
There is one person who has a label that she can never tear off: Fu Zuoyi's daughter. Nevertheless, she made great contributions to the liberation of Peiping. What kind of life did she live after the founding of the People's Republic of China?
She is Fu Zuoyi's daughter Fu Dongju.
First, pre-dawn negotiations
In January 1949, our Party had the best timing and the best situation. At this time, the enemy is gradually defeated and retreating, and the general trend has gone. For them, from the dilapidated war environment, they can already see their own end. Peaceful liberation has always been a principle pursued by our Party, and this principle is particularly important when it comes to the city of Peiping.
Beiping, a city full of humanistic atmosphere, carries too many memories of the Chinese nation, and it has countless rare treasures. The architecture and history of Beiping City are priceless to the whole of China. We wanted to save the city, and fu Zuoyi, who was gradually defeated, wanted to save himself, and in this context, a negotiation began.
In January 1949, after many negotiations, the two sides finally reached an agreement: Fu Zuoyi agreed to accept the reorganization of the People's Liberation Army. Thus, on January 31, the Chinese People's Liberation Army entered Beiping, and the Battle of Pingjin ended. Without the smoke of gunfire, without conflict or confrontation, without losses, our Party succeeded in peacefully liberating Peiping.
This negotiation is the result of the joint efforts of the Kuomintang and the Communists, and both sides have made compromises. However, the reason why Fu Zuoyi was willing to negotiate with our party was that one person played an important role in it, that is, Fu Zuoyi's daughter Fu Dongju.
Second, freedom and freedom
Fu Dongju was born in 1924 in Taiyuan, Shanxi. Because she was the first child in the family, she has received a lot of attention and love from the time she was born. Father Fu Zuoyi hoped that his daughter could be like the chrysanthemums in winter, even after weathering the wind and frost, she would still stand tall, have backbone, and have integrity, so she gave her daughter the name of winter chrysanthemum.
Fu Dongju received a good education from an early age, coupled with her diligence and studiousness, so her academic performance is very good. In 1942, at the age of 18, Fu Dongju was successfully admitted to the famous Southwest United University, and from then on, she began her life of freedom and struggle. Fu Dongju, who entered the Southwest United University, received many new ideas, actively participated in the student struggle, and walked in the front line of the struggle.
In 1946, Fu Dongju, who was about to graduate, found the Tianjin Newspaper, and Fu Dongju hoped that she could get a chance to work in the newspaper, and she hoped that she could contribute to the country with the pen in her hand. After layers of selection, Fu Dongju stood out and became a reporter for the Ta Kung Pao.
The most important thing as a journalist is to have first-hand news, so in-depth field research is essential. So Fu Dongju began his journey of running north and south in the South China Sea. At that time, Fu Dongju's father, Fu Zuoyi, was serving in Zhangjiakou, so Fu Dongju often went to Zhangjiakou to visit his father in his free time. Later, because of his work, Fu Zuoyi came to Beiping as commander-in-chief, and fu Dongju's distance from his father was reduced, and it became easier to visit his father.
Although Fu Zuoyi was a high-powered commander-in-chief in Beiping, he was also very lonely when his family was not around. In order to accompany his father, Fu Dongju moved to Beiping. Since then, she has often shuttled between Beiping and Tianjin, juggling family and work.
In 1947, Fu Dongju had already joined our party. Under the situation that war was about to break out, Fu Dongju had his own ideas and plans. She has always advised her father that national peace and people's stability are the most important things, and that waging and participating in wars will cause huge losses.
At the same time, Fu Dongju also tried to change Fu Zuoyi's thinking, so she often introduced our party's ideas and policies to her father. It is precisely because of this that Fu Zuoyi has gained a deeper understanding of our party and has also developed different feelings in his heart. In the end, Fu Zuoyi decided to accept Fu Dongju's suggestion, and he followed the trend of the development of the times and accepted the reorganization of the People's Liberation Army, and Peiping was successfully liberated. The importance of Beiping as the capital of China to us is self-evident, and fu Dongju has made an indispensable contribution to this process of peaceful liberation.
Third, live in peace
In October 1949, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, what kind of life did Fu Dongju live?
In the eyes of many people, Fu Dongju's special status as Fu Zuoyi's daughter gave her a strong political acumen, and at the same time, Fu Dongju made great contributions in the liberation of Beiping, so Fu Dongju is very likely to embark on the road of politics. However, this is not the case, after the founding of New China, Fu Dongju did not show his face, but has been doing behind-the-scenes work.
After the liberation of Peiping, Fu Dongju came to Tianjin's Progress Daily as a supplement editor. In 1951, Fu Dongju entered the People's Daily again, and she successively served in the Press Department, the Literature and Art Department and other departments, and has been doing the work of editor, and this persistence has been decades.
In the 1980s, Fu Dongju served as the editorial director of the Hong Kong bureau. In the decades after the liberation of Peiping, Fu Dongju worked tirelessly, conveying her thoughts to more people as an editor and reporter, liberating people's minds in her own way, and also guarding the country she loved.
In 1995, Fu Dongju retired from the magazine and began his later life. Fu Dongju has a very deep affection for her father Fu Zuoyi, and after her father left, Fu Dongju often missed it. She once wanted to write a biography of her father, but her father's life was golden, brilliant, and legendary, and for Fu Dongju, it seemed that she could not write the essence of her father in any way.
In 2007, Fu Dongju died of illness at the age of 83. This person who promoted the peaceful liberation of Peiping, the hero of new China, the journalist who embraced new ideas, and the lucky one who experienced the legendary events of a lifetime, finally calmly completed her life. Fu Dongju, who made great contributions to the liberation of Peiping, is the eternal memory of people condensed in Chinese history.
