GM breaks into the used car market: it will launch an online trading platform CarBravo

IT Home reported on January 13 that the used car market is hot, and GM hopes to compete directly with other used car sites through a new website called CarBravo.

According to the official press release, GM began recruiting dealers to join the site, which will launch "Spring 2022."

GM breaks into the used car market: it will launch an online trading platform CarBravo

Steve Carlisle, executive vice president of GM and president of GM North America, said in a statement that CarBravo not only allows shoppers to view dealership and GM used car inventory, but also allows people to buy non-GM used cars. This could help it better cope with Carvana (which just announced that it has sold 1 million cars) and other sites like CarMax and Vroom, which also support buying different car brands.

IT House understands that CarBravo will also deliver a seamless customer experience through GM's new digital retail platform (DRP). DRP will provide a simple and transparent shopping interface that includes clear dealer pricing, vehicle history reports, and a 360-degree view of the vehicle. All CarBravo vehicles will be inspected and refurbished to meet the standards set by General Motors. Customers can get guaranteed online offers from industry-standard blackbooks even if they don't buy a vehicle through CarBravo.

In addition, CarBravo offers standard warranty services for all vehicles, an extensive nationwide network of service and maintenance dealers, and a wide range of ownership rights, including curbside service, courtesy transportation, and the OnStar and SiriusXM trial ownership lifecycle for qualified vehicles. Customers can also take advantage of home test drives and home delivery services from participating dealers.
