Rotting Nation 2 is changing the way zombie communities behave, allowing these undead creatures to pose a real threat to the player's community.

Although it's almost 4 years since its debut in May 2018, the developers of Rotten Nation 2 are about to make some major changes to the game. The first set of updates has been launched on the PTR public test server for the PC version. In the recent developer live broadcast, the official display of all the updates in the test and showed some new content that will be launched in the future.

Overall, these changes include making infected people more directly targeted at the player's base and outpost, which will appear in groups at semi-random intervals. To balance out this additional danger, the game will use map indicators and notifications to reveal when the zombie swarm will scale up or launch another wave of attacks.

Zombie sieges in the current non-beta versions occur based on timers, and their overall strength is determined by the threat level of the community. Developer Undead Labs hopes they will eventually depend on how many infected people players colonize and wander around.
