Yongle Emperor Zhu Di, a very accomplished emperor in the history of our country, he conquered Mongolia five times, three annam, for the Ming Dynasty to consolidate Xinjiang, Tibet, Hainan and other remote areas, there are many stories about him, and his personal experience is also full of legends!
However, it is such a figure that we in later generations cannot even understand who his birth mother is, and in the complex historical records, we mainly find the following four statements;
The first theory is Empress Xiaocigao, that is, the famous Empress Ma in history, which is the most official version of the History of the Ming Dynasty, and is recorded in official history books such as the History of Ming, the Records of Ming Shilu, and the Deeds of JingNan.
For example, in the Records of ming Taizu, it is recorded that "Empress Ma gave birth to five princes, Chang Yue Biao, Prince Yiwen, Cizhu, Fengqin Wang, Ci Tang, Feng Jin Wang, Ci Jin Shang, Ci Shu, And Feng Zhou Wang." ”
The "second present" in this naturally refers to The Ming Dynasty Ancestor Zhu Di.
And in the "Ming History Chengzu Benji" also recorded in this way: "Emperor Wen was secretive, and taizu's fourth son was also." Mother Filial Piety Empress Dowager! ”
After Zhu Di became emperor, he also repeatedly emphasized that he was the son of Empress Xiaocigao! However, in many folklore, Empress Ma is infertile, and Neither Ming Chengzu Zhu Di nor his eldest son Zhu Biao are the sons of Empress Ma!
The second term is 碽妃
Princess Gong was a Goryeo, a beautiful woman in present-day Korea, and she was deeply loved by Zhu Yuanzhang for her beautiful appearance! The record that she was Zhu Di's biological mother mainly comes from a book called "Nanjing Taichang Temple Chronicle", which clearly records the manipulation of the xiaoling god's throne, in the middle is Emperor Taizugao and Empress Xiaocigao, the left one is Shufei Lishi, who gave birth to Prince Yiwen, the King of Qin, and the King of Jin; the one on the right is Concubine Qi, who gave birth to Emperor Zuwen.
Taichang Temple was an institution in charge of ritual music in the Ming Dynasty, responsible for the sacrifice of the Imperial Temple, so the records of this book should have a high degree of authenticity!
Moreover, this statement has also been recognized by many scholars in later generations, such as Fu Sinian, Wu Han and other well-known historians, after some study, they all believe that Zhu Di's birth mother is the Goryeo concubine!
The third theory is the Hongji Lama
Hongji Lashi was the wife of Emperor Yuanshun, after Zhu Yuanzhang attacked the Capital of Yuan, Emperor Yuanshun abandoned the Hongji Lashi and fled north in a hurry, Zhu Yuanzhang came to the harem of Emperor Yuanshun, saw that Hongji Lashi looked beautiful, and took it for himself.
As a result, the Hongji Lama clan gave birth to a son, the later Ming Chengzu Zhu Di. This also means that Zhu Di is not only not the son of Empress Ma, but also may not be the son of Zhu Yuanzhang, but the widow of Emperor Yuanshun.
This kind of statement, full of the flavor of folk wild history, is completely produced to smear Zhu Di, so the credibility is not high. Moreover, when the Ming army attacked the Yuan Capital in 1368 AD, and Zhu Di was born in 1360 AD, so the loophole in this statement is very large!
The fourth theory is the Mongol urn
This statement mainly comes from a book called "Guangyuan Miscellaneous Records" during the Qing Dynasty, which records it as follows: "Ming Chengzu, not Ma Houziye." Its mother, the Urn clan, is a Mongol. As the concubine of the Yuan Shun Emperor, he hid his business! ”
The implication is obvious, saying that Zhu Di is the son of the Wong clan, but because she is a concubine of the Yuan Shun Emperor, it is obviously not conducive to his rule. Therefore, after Zhu Di came to power, he deliberately deleted her mother's situation.
However, this "Guangyuan Miscellaneous Records" is just a book containing interesting facts, which is obviously not credible!
Therefore, the theory about Zhu Di's biological mother is basically focused on the two theories of Empress Ma and The Goryeo Concubine! However, due to the first theory, its historical materials are mainly derived from official histories such as the Ming Shi, Taizu Shilu, and Taizong Shilu, zhu Di publicly ordered the revision of the history books for his own political legitimacy after he came to power.
As a result, most of the scholars of later generations did not believe the relevant records of these official history books, and did not recognize that Zhu Di was born to Empress Ma!
In summary, Zhu Di's birth mother is most likely to be the Goryeo concubine, which is equivalent to the current Korean!
