According to the FIFA World Rankings, published on 10 February, the 24 participating teams are divided into five stages, of which six host teams are India, Kuwait, the Kyrgyz Republic, Malaysia, Mongolia and Uzbekistan. The specific grouping results of the lottery are:
Group A: Jordan, Kuwait, Indonesia, Nepal
Group B: Palestine, Philippines, Yemen, Mongolia
Group C: Uzbekistan, Thailand, Maldives, Sri Lanka
Group D: India, Hong Kong, Afghanistan, Cambodia
Group E: Bahrain, Turkmenistan, Malaysia, Bangladesh
Group F: Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Myanmar, Singapore
The final stage of the 2023 AFC China Asian Cup Qualifiers will produce the last 11 teams participating in the final round, with the first place in 6 groups and the 2nd place in the 5 best group those qualifying for the promotion. The competition will take place on June 8, 11 and 14. Thirteen teams, including host China, have qualified for the final round in the second round of the previous 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar and 2023 AFC China Asian Cup Joint Qualifiers.
The 2023 AFC China Asian Cup will be held in 10 cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Chengdu, Xi'an, Dalian, Qingdao, Xiamen and Suzhou from June to July next year. At present, the preparations for the 2023 AFC China Asian Cup are proceeding in an orderly manner, and the construction of 10 professional football stadiums is advancing as planned and will be completed by the end of this year.
