Recall of some imported and domestically produced vehicles

From March 25, 2022, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. recalled the following vehicles.

1. Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. recalled some C-class vehicles with production dates from March 26, 2021 to September 22, 2021, for a total of 4,628 vehicles.

Due to software development deviations in vehicles within the scope of this recall, the engine control unit memory may not be able to write the engine start data correctly, resulting in the shutdown and non-restart of the newly started engine, increasing the risk of vehicle collision and potential safety hazards.

Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will upgrade the engine control unit software free of charge for vehicles within the scope of the recall through a Mercedes-Benz authorized dealer to eliminate safety hazards.

2. Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. recalled some imported A-class, B-class, E-class, CLA, CLS, GLC SUV, GLB SUV, GLE SUV, GLS SUV, GLS SUV and AMG GT vehicles with a production date from October 29, 2018 to June 18, 2021, totaling 38,318 vehicles Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. recalled a total of 17,312 domestic A-class, E-class, GLA, GLB SUVs, GLC SUVs and EQC vehicles with production dates from August 15, 2018 to October 13, 2021.

When the vehicle is started within the scope of this recall, the MBUX multimedia display may not start normally, resulting in the image of the rearview camera that assists the driver to reverse the car cannot be displayed on the display, which is a safety hazard.

The two companies will upgrade the MBUX multimedia system (intelligent human-computer interaction system) software for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge through the vehicle remote upgrade (OTA) technology, and for vehicles that cannot be recalled through the vehicle remote upgrade (OTA) technology, they will contact the relevant users through the Mercedes-Benz Authorized Service Center to upgrade the software for the vehicle free of charge to eliminate security risks.

Recall of some imported GT cars

Effective March 25, 2022, McLaren Automotive Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. recalled some imported GT vehicles manufactured between November 26, 2019 and August 7, 2021, for a total of 329 units.

The connection between the driver airbag and the occupant restraint controller may not be fully engaged in some vehicles within the scope of this recall, resulting in the airbag not being triggered properly and the airbag warning light not lighting. In the event of a collision, there is a safety hazard.

The company will inspect vehicles covered by the recall free of charge and take steps to ensure that the connection between the driver airbag and the occupant restraint controller is fully engaged to eliminate safety hazards.

Recalls part of the Dragon H5 6*4 LNG tractor

From March 25, 2022, Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd. recalled some of the H5 6*4 LNG tractors produced from October 31, 2019 to February 19, 2021, for a total of 2,346 units.

When some vehicles within the scope of this recall are used in mountainous areas and other working conditions, it may be that the engine exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) cooler is not well degassed, and the cooler intake end is locally overheated, causing the EGR cooler core to crack and leak, triggering the fault limit torsion protection, and then causing the vehicle power to decline, which may lead to engine damage in extreme cases, and there is a safety hazard.

The company will inspect vehicles within the scope of the recall, and replace vehicles with improved pre-EGR coolers installed with improved EGR coolers free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.

Emergency disposal measures: Before the vehicle recall and maintenance, if the user finds that the vehicle instrument alarm or power drop during the operation, he should enter the station in time for maintenance.
