The Gundam Metaverse Project is the "SIDE-G" project that launches the "Colony" into the Metaverse as a symbol of Gundam-related content such as games and Gangpula (models).
As one of the hot words of the year in 2021, meta-universe related content was once on the hot search. But with the passage of time, people's enthusiasm for the metaverse has also cooled a lot. However, the new project of Bandai Namco has undoubtedly made this word win everyone's attention again.
According to the current official information, the Gundam Meta universe will be divided into steel pula, animation, games, music and other areas. Each area will create a virtual community where users can control their "twins" through smartphones and Bandai Namco IP, enjoy concerts, games, shopping and other services in each community, and can also communicate with others.
In this plan, the first to launch is the "Gangpura Colony". The project will aim to be officially operational in 2025, and will be opened for trials from the fall of 2022. In this project, the ability to use a camera to shoot a homemade Gundam model and make it into battle was included.
At the same time, the "e-sports colony" is also under construction with the goal of completion in 2023. "Esports Colony" aims to become a gaming community that can be participated by players around the world, and the game "Gundam Evolution" that started with this will also be officially launched this year. In general, the Gundam Meta-Universe Project will not only build a large circle of life for Gundam fans around the world to gather together in virtual space.
