Today I passed by the China Institute of Contemporary International Relations after work, and the office environment is good. Didn't expect to be so close. Tough Pakistan and its cross-cutting. Qatar's emir's office said on Wednesday that the Qatar Investment Authority aims to invest $3 billion in Pakistan to support the cash-strapped South Asian nation's economy. The announcement was made during Pakistani Prime Minister Sheikh Bazi Sharif's visit to Doha. As part of the overall agreement, the Pakistani side will provide assistance to the Qatari government in the security-related aspects of the World Cup from 21 November to 18 December 2022 – security forces and equipment (including intelligence technology).

Next week, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) meeting is expected to approve more than $1 billion in financing against Pakistan, which has stalled since the beginning of the year. Earlier, aid from Gulf states and $2.5 billion in loans from China helped Pakistan avoid its worst economic crisis.

Pakistan is in the midst of economic turmoil and faces a balance-of-payments crisis, with foreign exchange reserves falling to $7.8 billion, barely enough to import for more than a month. It is also coping with widening current account deficits, weak rupee currencies and inflation that exceeded 24 percent in July.
