Eden Hazard is back to join Belgium's third-tier team

Eden Hazard retired from football in 2023, just months after his Real Madrid contract was terminated. A year later, the Belgian star unexpectedly returned to the pitch.

On Wednesday, the 33-year-old donned his boots for Belgian third-tier side Real Tubis, the club where he began his football career as a child. His younger brother Ethan currently plays for the team's B team.

Hazard's other brother, Togan, meanwhile, plays for rivals Anderlecht.

The match appeared to be an affectionate tribute to the Hazard family, with Eden even putting the captain's armband on Tubis.

Despite Hazard's best efforts, his goal was the only bright spot in the 4-1 defeat to the Purple and Whites.
