Appreciation of the works of the submitting artists

The 1515 Young Artist Creation Program has received enthusiastic applications from various universities and young artists in the society across the country and overseas, and the works of the submitted artists are selected and shared as follows.

Yiming Yang - Royal Academy of Arts - Master.

Yang Yiming's work expresses her vision of today's post-humanity, where utopias and dystopias clash in uncertainty. The flow of information, which comes primarily from an inner, unexplorable state of mind, collides with bodily perception, forming an ideology that is often absurd, teetering on the edge of the eternal dualism of life and death. Yang Yiming's personal emotions breed in this absurd environment, and find form in her works with different media and creative techniques– ultimately exploring the relationship between virtual and reality.

Zhu Ruxu - Guangxi Academy of Arts - Master

Artistic creation talent is a must, but more important should be accumulation and persistence. So people are like a piece of shoddy ore, some people are rich ore, some people are poor ore, some people are metal at the beginning, some people are just stubborn stone, after smelting, forging again and again, mixing different elements, some people are just pig iron, some people are steel wrought iron, some people have become high carbon steel such as manganese steel and chromium steel. You are all looking for your place, but what you want to become and what you have to go through, even the toughest metal will become soft and hot at the right temperature.

Soul Dialogue

Xu Zhibo - Hebei Normal University of Science and Technology - Undergraduate

With the deepening of the civilization of human society, the recycling and reuse of industrial metal waste has become my focus and creative carrier. In the past two years, he has devoted himself to the creation of metal installations with environmental protection concepts. Through welding and other processes, the scrap metal materials are arranged in an orderly manner, and the works created have the artistic effect of decorating the urban beautification environment. The metal material itself has the characteristics of withstanding the polishing of years, not easy to damage, long preservation time, etc., and is also one of the focuses of my choice as a future creative material. From a very young age, the thinking of time and space has never stopped, so the works created convey the humanistic connotation of time and space blending with each other, endless life, and eternal existence, which is in line with personal artistic demands.

Yitong Ye - University of Southampton, UK - Postgraduate

Yitong Ye seeks to use her artworks to find a journey of life understanding and transform it into visual representation, which includes installation, new media, and painting. Based on her own context, she constructs a bridge between the heart and reality through the deconstruction of individual life. His works transform complex psychological structures into visual language to express feelings about human nature, life and death, memory, and cultural forms. PhD research interests: Cell, Arts and Sciences. This research will be based on practice, through visual art, through the way of installation, influence and painting, the proliferation of cells and their cells for visual representation, in order to reflect on their figurative language, i.e. the philosophical and psychological meaning of life and death. Based on the fact that although life and death have always been recurring themes in the creation of contemporary painters, few people think about it from the cellular level. Cells have always been used as a metaphor for the forces of death and rebirth in life.

Kai Wang - Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts - Bachelor

From what we usually see, we can find the value of artistic creation in the surplus waste items that have been consumed and overused, form the reproduction of the edge scenes that have been lost one by one, use the ready-made products in life, change its original context, and in a small layout, make the "thing" closely intertwined with the absurdity and cold humor of this era, and make the art more romantic and ambiguous. Reposition the relationship between works of art and social existence, closely combine perceptual thinking in real situations with the re-creation of art, and explore the viewer's thinking ability through the breath and sense of field of the work of art. As Hegel said, "History is a pile of ashes, but there is a residual temperature in the depths of the ashes." ”

Li Naikang - Yunnan Academy of Arts - Master

He likes to experiment with new spawning methods, new means of making, and new sculptural materials. I am fascinated by objects that have lost their use value, because although this kind of thing has no specific practical value, it has a metaphor of social value and unique styling characteristics, and even the properties of special materials, I go to explore them, and instill my own creative style and aesthetic tendencies, through my own imagination and transformation ability, complete the transformation of those "worthless" objects to make them into works with life and meaning.
