Qin Huanbing
He is a member of the Communist Party of China, an engineering surveyor of the Surveying and Mapping Branch of China Railway Bridge Bureau Group Second Engineering Co., Ltd., and has won the National May Day Labor Medal, the National Advanced Individual of Knowledge-based Workers, the National Technical Expert, the Hubei Craftsman, the Locomotive Medal and other honors.
For Qin Huanbing, an engineering surveyor of the Surveying and Mapping Branch of China Railway Bridge Bureau Group Second Engineering Co., Ltd., the bridge is the most beautiful scenery in every city.
"I'm so proud to see the bridge I've measured open to traffic!" In the past 33 years, Qin Huanbing has been fighting in the front line of bridge engineering surveying, Hangzhou Qiantang River Bridge, Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge, Tongjiang Sino-Russian Railway Bridge, Nanjing Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge...... During the survey operation of these large bridges, he struggled.
Never give up
Tenacity comes first
Qin Huanbing was born in a family of bridge workers, and his father's unremitting work attitude based on his post deeply influenced him. In 1990, with his sincere heart and infinite longing for the railway industry, he entered the Surveying and Mapping Branch of China Railway Bridge Bureau No. 2 Company and became an engineering surveyor.
At the beginning of his career, Qin Huanbing felt the lack of professional knowledge: "The completion of a bridge requires millions of measurements, involves a variety of calculations, and requires a solid theoretical foundation and rich practical experience. In order to improve his technical level as soon as possible, he followed his master to learn the craft and practice the basic skills during the day, and squeezed out time to study by himself at night, often reading books until late at night. In 5 years, he devoured 15 professional surveying books, wrote down hundreds of thousands of words of study notes, and mastered various instrument operation skills and basic data calculation skills.
Since childhood, he has not admitted defeat - with this momentum, Qin Huanbing ran the road of bridge engineering surveying. In November 2013, he led a survey team to the Sino-Russian border to survey the site of the Sino-Russian Railway Bridge in Tongjiang.
Water and electricity are outworked, snow is knee-deep, and temperatures reach minus 30 degrees Celsius...... It brings great challenges and difficulties to the measurement work. "The temperature is too low, people and instruments can't stand it, and we will test it when the weather improves...... In the face of some people's fear of difficulties, Qin Huanbing said firmly: "We are the pioneers of project construction, and we must not lag behind!" He is well aware that the construction period is tight and there are many new situations, and a delay of one day will increase the uncertainty by one point.
As a result, on the frozen surface of the Tongjiang River for nearly two kilometers at that time, a group of engineering surveyors who only showed their eyes and nostrils and were tightly wrapped in their bodies could be seen slowly advancing and carrying out surveying operations in earnest.
"The winter in Tongjiang is too cold, and you can't wear gloves when operating the instruments, and it doesn't take a few minutes for your hands to freeze on the dripping surface of the river, and you get chilblains within a few days. When I returned to the dormitory, it was warm, and I felt even more itchy. Qin Huanbing said that sometimes he needs to go out at night to measure, and the hot air he exhales will condense into ice after a while, freezing his eyelashes and instrument mirrors together.
There are many unexpected dangers in the process of operation. What makes Qin Huanbing unforgettable to this day is that once, when the pile in the stakeout bridge was staked, the snow was very deep at the scene, and everyone could only move slowly, or even crawl and crawl. Near pier 30, there was a pool of water hidden under the snow, and Qin Huanbing, who was walking in front of him to explore the way, just stepped on it and fell into it with a "click". "Luckily, the water was waist-deep at the time, so I was lucky." He recalled.
In this way, day after day, Qin Huanbing led the team to start from the starting point of the bridge on the Sino-Russian border every day, working along the 16.7-kilometer-long engineering route, with an average of about 50,000 steps per operation. During this period, they ran rulers and turning points from north to south, chiseled ice, planted flags, and measured water depth and sections. In the face of snowstorms, severe cold, and mosquito bites, everyone never stopped moving forward, and finally successfully completed the bridge measurement task.
Talking about the measurement work over the years, Qin Huanbing said with emotion: "It is inevitable to endure hardships in surveying, but you must have a tenacity in your heart, and you must make a name for yourself in whatever you do." ”
constantly improve something
A ruler counts
"If you don't let go of yourself, you can't be bad at all, you can't be bad at all." This is a sentence that Qin Huanbing often puts on his lips. Over the years, he has developed a keen eye for himself – the measurement projects he is responsible for have never had any quality deviations.
The Chaoma Intercity Railway Ma'anshan Yangtze River Highway and Railway Bridge is currently the world's largest span three-tower two-main span cable-stayed bridge. Among them, the Z4 main tower has 60 piles, each with a diameter of 4 meters, which belongs to the super-large diameter bored pile group foundation. In the actual operation, Qin Huanbing and his team had to drive the steel casing around the bored piles to 46 meters underground, and then drive each bored pile to 60 to 72 meters underground. Since the diameter of the steel casing is larger than that of the bored pile, how to ensure accurate verticality during operation has become a major problem for them. During that time, Qin Huanbing and his team kept reading relevant technical data, experimenting and comparing at the operation site, and finally decided to install the sensor on the steel casing to monitor the verticality of the steel casing in real time, which effectively ensured that the steel casing was successfully hit to 46 meters underground and the verticality did not exceed 3‰.
Building a bridge involves millions of measurements, and every millimeter of detail is related to project safety and project quality.
During the construction of the Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge, Qin Huanbing led the team to be responsible for the relevant measurement work of the bridge, and he was deeply impressed by the formwork positioning stage. "We have to fix the formwork before the concrete can be poured inside, so the accuracy of the formwork positioning is directly related to the accuracy and force of the main tower, which is very important!" Qin Huanbing introduced.
With the determination to build a high-quality project, Qin Huanbing insisted on being strict in everything, and he and his team finely controlled the internal control standards on the basis of the original national standards, and limited the template size deviation range to plus or minus 5 mm. There are many facilities in the main tower and the heavy formwork brings certain difficulties to the operation, coupled with the tight construction period, Qin Huanbing can always be seen busy at the operation site. "I am bent on how to reduce errors, accurately fix the template, and better serve the site." Qin Huanbing said.
In 2017, Qin Huanbing's Model Worker Innovation Studio was established, and in 2019, it was recognized as a national skill master studio, which made Qin Huanbing's work more motivated. In order to keep the new surveyors in their work attitude of excellence, he will give classes to everyone whenever he is free and pass on his work experience and insights to everyone. Under his leadership, the studio has cultivated 2 gold medal employees and more than 80 surveying backbones, all of whom have devoted themselves to the front line of surveying and continue to create dazzling high-quality projects.
Ingenuity
Enthusiastic about innovation
It has completed more than 100 technological innovations, minor reforms, 135 optimized measurement schemes, solved more than 30 large-scale bridge on-site construction measurement problems, and won 52 construction methods, patents, scientific and technological progress awards, and QC achievement awards...... In the past 33 years, Qin Huanbing has been striving for perfection at the same time, with ingenuity and ingenuity, and constantly pursuing excellence.
Changtai Yangtze River Bridge is currently the world's largest span road and railway dual-purpose cable-stayed bridge, the No. 6 main tower of the bridge is as high as 352 meters, and the caisson of the No. 6 main tower is the world's largest water caisson foundation under construction. Under the guidance of the National Laboratory, the "Qin Huanbing Surveying Skills Master Studio" participated in the monitoring of the sinking of the caisson of the No. 6 main tower.
Previously, the caisson sinking monitoring workflow was to go up the caisson 2 to 3 times a day, and then calculate the caisson inclination state. As a result, efficiency and accuracy are not guaranteed. Qin Huanbing pondered for a long time, "At that time, I thought that it would be nice if there was a real-time monitoring device." He recalled.
After a lot of testing and comparison, Qin Huanbing and his team finally decided to install 4 GPS at the location of the axis of the caisson of the No. 6 main tower of the bridge to monitor the tilt status of the caisson in real time 24 hours a day, and the BIM platform formed a three-dimensional simulation image in real time to assist in the construction. The BIM caisson monitoring cloud platform is used for measurement and calculation, which is more efficient and accurate than traditional measurement methods.
With the joint efforts of everyone, the giant caisson of the No. 6 main tower of Changtai Yangtze River Bridge was accurately implanted, accurately settled, and the bottom was completed, which achieved a new breakthrough in the construction of deepwater caisson foundation for large-span bridges in mainland China and created a precedent for deepwater caisson foundation construction. "I and my team members are very proud to be able to contribute our wisdom and strength to this excellent project!" Qin Huanbing said excitedly.
The positioning link of the ropeway pipe of the No. 6 main tower also contains some small thoughts of Qin Huanbing. "The positioning accuracy of the ropeway tube is required to be within plus or minus 5 mm, and because the main tower is affected by atmospheric temperature difference and sunlight refraction, according to the convention, accurate data can only be obtained by measuring at night." He explained. It was such a thing that everyone took for granted, but Qin Huanbing used his brains. After repeated calculations, he added the actual deviation data at different temperatures to the theoretical data, and solved the problem that it was difficult to carry out measurement operations during the day with the method of "bias is biased".
"Now, I have developed a habit of asking the construction staff what problems they have encountered at each project site, or if they feel that the operation is not smooth. By summarizing and sorting out problems and soliciting reasonable opinions and suggestions, we can be targeted and make difficulties the starting point of technological innovation. For Qin Huanbing, technological innovation has become a habit, in his words, "the more you ponder, the more addicted, and the more you work, the more you have a sense of achievement."
Keep the simple heart without distractions, and polish and refine your skills for a long time. At present, Qin Huanbing is leading the team to fight on the front line of measurement. On the new journey of achieving accurate measurement and creating high-quality projects, as a "dream chaser", he is still running hard.
With a tenacity that does not admit defeat
Qin Huanbing maintained a fighting posture
Fight bravely and face difficulties
Tell us with practical actions
Do a line, love a line, fine a line
Such efforts will pay off
There will be something to be gained in such a life
