On May 29, the Chinese Embassy in Lesotho held a reception for the departure of Ambassador Lake Zhong. More than 350 people from all walks of life, including the speaker of the Lesotho National Assembly, deputy prime ministers, former prime ministers, 10 cabinet ministers, more than 20 members of the two houses of parliament and government officials, envoys in Lesotho, representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises and overseas Chinese consulates, attended the event.
Ambassador Lei reviewed the remarkable achievements of China-Lesotho exchanges and cooperation in various fields over the past five years under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, and thanked all sectors of the Lesotho community for their support during his tenure. He introduced the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the three major initiatives of global development, security and civilization.
