Among the people who came to participate in the event, there were many Chongming compatriots who were concerned about the development of their hometown. Mr. Lu, a citizen who braved the rain, was born in Houjia Town, Chongming, and settled in Hong Kong in 1996. In this carnival, Chongming set up two booths to provide Chongming cake tasting, saffron tea tasting, Chongming good things promotion and other services. It is understood that there are 19 kinds of Chongming good things in Hong Kong, which are jointly selected and sent by the District Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, the District Economic Commission, and the District Agriculture and Rural Committee, and are transported to Hong Kong for promotion through the Chongming Company's "Chongming Good Things" platform and Chongming Vegetable Group's "Chongming Selection" platform. "We have selected several well-known, good-tasting and easy-to-store Chongming local delicacies, and ensured the freshness and taste of the products through cold chain transportation and other methods, so as to ensure that Hong Kong citizens can taste authentic and fresh Chongming delicacies." Wang Tingfeng, chairman of Chongming Vegetable Group, told reporters.
