Audiomovers has announced a major update to its OMNIBUS audio routing software, developed by audio solution developers such as LISTENTO and INJECT, that operates like a Mac's virtual patch panel, allowing you to easily route audio between any audio device—virtual and hardware—avoiding previously complex workarounds.
Audiomovers announces OMNIBUS 3.0, which adds several important features compared to the previous version:

Audio routing software that runs like a virtual patch trays between applications and audio devices on your Mac, is now networked with support for NDI and AVB network protocols.
This new networking capability means that OMNIBUS 3.0 can send and receive multichannel audio from any other machine on the same network, turning any Mac into an audio device with full multichannel input/output. (OMNIBUS can send and receive 256 channels of audio over AVB, or 128 channels of audio via NDI, but users can create multiple AVB "devices" in OMNIBUS to send and receive audio).
OMNIBUS 3.0 PROVIDES AN AFFORDABLE, STREAMLINED ROUTING SOLUTION FOR RECORDING AND POST-PRODUCTION FACILITIES SUCH AS Abbey Road Studios, enabling them to transmit multi-channel audio between machines and different rooms with low latency. OMNIBUS 3.0 IS USED IN EVERY ROOM OF THE ABBEY ROAD STUDIO, FROM STUDIO 1 TO THE CREATION ROOM, SAVING CUSTOMERS AN AVERAGE OF AN HOUR OF SETUP TIME PER RECORDING WITHOUT HAVING TO INSTALL DRIVERS ON THEIR MACHINES OR NAVIGATING COMPLEX ROUTING CONFIGURATIONS.
OMNIBUS already allows Mac users to seamlessly route audio between all devices connected to their Mac, both physical and virtual, but OMNIBUS 3.0 adds application capture so users can easily get audio from whatever software is running without having to route the audio to the virtual device first.

Existing OMNIBUS 2.0 users have the option to upgrade to OMNIBUS 3.0 for a reduced price of $25.99, while those with a LISTENTO Pro subscription and OMNIBUS 2.0 license can upgrade for free.
