In December 2023, the Cyber Security Brigade of the Yunhe County Public Security Bureau received a report from Ms. Wu in the jurisdiction that someone was suspected of helping someone to rob Moutai on the e-commerce platform for a fee through plug-in software. After the case was accepted, Yunhe Public Security immediately organized police forces to carry out investigations.
After a preliminary investigation, the police found that on some e-commerce platforms, there were cases where criminals used plug-in software to kill "Feitian Moutai" in seconds. The "low-price discount" for the majority of consumers has been concentrated in the hands of a small number of people, which has seriously undermined the fair trade order of the e-commerce platform.
After more than three months of careful investigation and analysis, the police locked down five criminal gangs with a clear division of labor and clear hierarchies. Subsequently, he successively went to Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shaanxi and other places to carry out a unified network collection operation, and with the cooperation of the local police, 5 criminal gangs were successfully defeated, 14 criminal suspects were arrested, and 5 computer rooms involved in the case were sealed, and the funds involved in the case were as high as more than 6,000 yuan.
It is understood that in 2021, the criminal suspects Guo, Liu and others developed a rush purchase software for the purpose of illegal profit, and used the paid original price to buy the e-commerce platform Feitian Moutai as a gimmick, and collected a large number of e-commerce platform user account information through subordinate agents such as Zhang and Li.
Guo and others logged in to their accounts in batches through plug-in software to make snap-up purchases. After the user successfully snapped up Moutai, the agent charged the user a fee for grabbing, and the level was submitted to the hands of software developers Guo, Liu and others. The five criminal gangs in this case have a clear division of labor, and up to now, they have grabbed more than 30,000 bottles of Feitian Moutai for users, and made illegal profits of more than 2,000 yuan.
"The suspect's behavior of robbing Moutai on the e-commerce platform in large quantities for a fee by writing a rush purchase program violated the fair trade rights of other consumers, and also undermined the trading order and trading environment of the e-commerce platform." Wang Qichao, the policeman handling the case, said.
At present, 14 criminal suspects have been transferred to the Yunhe County People's Procuratorate for prosecution on suspicion of providing tools for intrusion and illegal control of computer information system programs.
Police remind
The legal red line cannot be crossed, the bottom line of security cannot be touched, and the "limited-time seckill" is a promotional activity for the majority of consumer groups, and the emergence of illegal rush purchase software has undermined the fair trade order of the e-commerce platform. As a consumer, it is legal and valid to obtain discounts through legal means, but if it is used through illegal means, it not only violates fairness and justice, undermines network security, but also violates the law and will be punished by law; At the same time, it also faces multiple risks such as personal information leakage, platform software closure, and fund fraud.
