From June 20th to June 25th, it has rained for 6 days in She County. In the past six days, a touch of blue symbolizing hope has been shuttling in the wind and rain, and they are the blue sky rescue teams from all over Anhui. As one of the local rescue teams, the Huangshan Blue Sky Rescue Team received the most requests for help. They include couriers, housewives, and shopkeepers who usually go about their lives, but in the face of disaster, they quickly don their blue uniforms, step over fallen trees, wade through rushing waters, and move trapped people to safety while delivering valuable survival supplies to much-needed villages.

On the afternoon of June 25, the Modern Express reporter followed a rescue team led by deputy captain Chen Weiling and composed of four members, Wu Xuan, Zhu Haibo, Xu Weiping and Wu Aijun, to send more than 200 pieces of daily necessities such as instant noodles, bread and drinking water donated by caring enterprises to Xiaoxi Village, Shexian County, which was seriously affected by the disaster.

It's the courier and the best driver for the rescue team

Wu Aijun is a courier who serves as the leader of the technical support team in the Huangshan Blue Sky Rescue Team, and is often responsible for driving when he goes out on rescue missions.

The rescue team's public vehicle is converted from a manual transmission van, and even on a country road with multiple collapses, Wu Aijun can drive it to the village in need of rescue at the fastest speed, without delaying a minute or a second.

Recently, Wu Aijun just bought a new van, although he was ridiculed by his teammates "Congratulations to Mr. Wu for lifting the new car", he was not happy at all. According to Wu Xuan, deputy head of the technical support group, when rescuing the villages affected by the "6.20" flash flood, Wu Aijun drove his own van to support and transport kayaks and rescue tools because the rescue team's public vehicle was carrying out other rescue missions. But when there were still miles left to reach the village waiting for rescue, the car was blocked by a deep pool of water. Wu Aijun was going to rush over in one go, but he didn't expect the engine to enter the water, and the car could only stop in knee-deep water.

"The car was soaked in water, so he got out of the car, dragged the kayak out of the car, and then stood in the water and pushed the kayak towards the entrance of the village." Wu Xuan recalled, "After pushing the kayak to the entrance of the village, he turned back to his car to get other rescue tools. ”

On June 25, on the road in pouring rain, Wu Aijun drove intently, avoiding a road covered with earth and rocks, and led a vehicle full of relief supplies to Xiaoxi Village.

She is the proprietress of a small shop, and she is also a warrior who sticks to the front line of flood fighting for 6 days

"For six days, she stopped the business in the store, never rested for a day, and has been on the front line of flood fighting to save people and deliver supplies." Wu Xuan introduced Xu Weiping, a volunteer of the Huangshan Blue Sky Rescue Team, to reporters, and then pointed at her with a smile: "I haven't even taken a bath in six days." Xu Weiping, who is petite and still a little immature in face, explained to reporters with some embarrassment: "You don't need to take a bath, because you soak in water every day." ”

According to Xu Weiping, after the June 20 flood that caught everyone off guard, she rushed to the front line of evacuating affected residents, opening roads and transporting supplies. "On the 22nd, there was another rain, and the toppled trees and the soil from the landslide blocked the newly opened road." Xu Weiping said: "That night, we had to carry boxes of water on foot to deliver supplies into the village, and our bodies were wet with rain over and over again. As a woman, even if the clothes on her body are soaked and uncomfortable, Xu Weiping has to wait until she returns to the locker room of the rescue team dozens of kilometers away before she can change into dry clothes. It was also that night that Xu Weiping started a fever, but she still did not rest and continued to participate in the rescue operation.

The rescue team's car soon arrived at Xiaoxi Village, and Xu Weiping got out of the car. Just as they were about to help move boxes of supplies to the lobby of the village committee, the team members heard from the staff of the village committee that there was an elderly man with bad legs and feet who needed to be transferred on the mountain two kilometers away.

Xu Weiping rushed ahead again, following the villagers who led the way, crossing the stream, turning over the fallen trees, soil and rocks, and rushing to the houses where the villagers who asked for help lived. The dry clothes and shoes she had just changed into were wet again from the heavy rain and stream.

She is a housewife, and she is also a vice-captain who is not omnipotent but is trusted

Chen Weiling, who led the team this time, is the deputy captain of the Huangshan Blue Sky Rescue Team and the oldest of the 5 people, and is called "Sister Ling" and "Mother Ling" by the team members. She raised her voice and conveyed instructions to the team, like the voice of her son, who is in high school, on the phone on the way to Xiaoxi Village, telling her son, who is in high school, to eat on time.

Before the team members rushed to the homes of villagers who asked for help two kilometers away, she methodically instructed them to change into the equipment needed for the rescue. "We only came to deliver supplies this time, and we didn't bring a stretcher. We brought the rope and made an improvised stretcher when we arrived. ”

Putting on their equipment and bringing ropes, the five of them went up the mountain. The turbulent water rushed down the dirt road, which was only about 30 centimeters wide, and the road was full of rocks washed down by the torrent. There were four landslides on the two-kilometer mountain road, one of which was particularly severe, with more than a dozen pine trees mixed with mud blocking the entire road. The team members could only bend down and hold on to the tree and pass with difficulty. Sharp pine needles, even a brief touch while supporting the body, can puncture the palm. Not to mention the rain-soaked mud between the trees, which can easily slip and fall down the hill if you step on it.

The Huangshan Blue Sky Rescue Team evacuated trapped residents

"Looking at the road conditions, it's hard for us to carry people down later. Even if it's on your back, it's easy to fall, and in that case, it may be even more dangerous. Chen Weiling led the team members to climb to the top of the mountain, confirmed that the villagers were in good physical condition, and after the houses they lived in were safe, they called the village committee and told them about the current situation. After the communication, the village committee agreed to wait for the road to be cleared before proceeding with the transfer.

"No way, our rescue team is not omnipotent." Chen Weiling reluctantly told reporters: "After all, we are just a group of ordinary people. ”
