In keeping with the usual release cadence, this year's new Apple Watch Series 10, or X, is expected to debut alongside the iPhone 16 series in September. Recently, foreign media 91mobiles released the original CAD renderings of this watch, from which you can see some new changes.
Referring to the CAD renderings below, the exterior design of the Apple Watch Series 10 has not changed significantly, and it still adopts a more rounded body, with the crown and function buttons integrated on the right side of the body, and the two speaker cutouts on the left side, the overall design is basically the same as that of the current 9th generation.
But in terms of details, the new Apple Watch Series 10 has a larger display, which is 2 inches larger, which is a bit larger than the 1.93-inch Ultra 2 that focuses on the outdoors. It can be said that this screen is the largest display in the history of Apple Watch.
A bigger screen usually means that the body size will also get bigger, and the Apple Watch Series 10 has really changed a bit, measuring about 46*39.7*11.6 mm. For reference, the 45mm version of the previous generation Series 9 had a body size of 45*38*10.7mm.
In comparison, this year's Series 10 has a larger body and a little thicker, but the overall size is still much smaller than that of the Ultra 2. In terms of options, the 45mm version has been retained this year, but the original 41mm will be replaced with a larger 49mm.
One small detail is that the Apple Watch Series 10's strap connection hasn't changed. The previous revelation was that it was changed to a "magnetic" connection. Therefore, this is also good news for students who like to collect watch straps, and the old strap can still be used for the new watch.
Looking at this set of CAD renderings, the Apple Watch Series 10 can be said to be another facelift after the 7th generation, with the largest display in history and an increased body size. It's just that this year there is no 41mm version, and both options offered are large sizes.
It's worth noting that the original Apple Watch was released in September 2014, so it's reasonable to expect Apple to give the Apple Watch a makeover on its 10th anniversary.
And there have been many previous revelations that Apple's new watch this year may be renamed Apple Watch X, and its exterior design will usher in the biggest update in history, and it is expected to use a new magnetic strap connection, which is no longer compatible with the old band. At the same time, a thinner case is equipped.
However, the set of CAD renders released by 91mobiles obviously does not match the above revelations. Therefore, the accuracy of this set of renderings and the previous revelations cannot be determined at this time.
Personally, I feel that there may be a possibility that the Apple Watch Series 10 will be updated normally this year, as is the case with the current iPhone 8 series and iPhone X, and then there will be a special edition of the Apple Watch X to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the device.
