"The installed capacity of the power station is 110,000 kilowatts, and the average annual power generation is 285 million kWh. It can reduce coal consumption by 90,000 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 250,000 tons per year, contributing to 'carbon peak and carbon neutrality'. Bai Bingnan said.

While providing the water required by the national economy, the Dongzhuang Water Conservancy Project also reserves a certain amount of ecological flow in the river, which can effectively improve the ecological impact caused by insufficient ecological flow and broken flow, and greatly improve the ecological environment of the river during the fish breeding period and the ecological environment of the river in the downstream flood season.

The discharge flow during the ecologically sensitive period is not less than 10.66 cubic meters per second, and the discharge flow during the flood season is not less than 15.99 cubic meters per year, which plays an important role in improving the river ecological environment during the fish breeding period and the river ecological environment in the downstream flood season.

"The 97-kilometer-long, 73,000-mu water surface formed in the reservoir area will greatly improve the ecological environment of the Jingwei River Basin, making the sky bluer, the mountains greener, and the water clearer." Bai Bingnan said.
