In June, Guangde, Anhui Province, on the occasion of the launch of the 2025 Living Home Traveler, SAIC MAXUS announced that it had signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on "SAIC MAXUS Original Factory Vehicle Life Cycle 2.0" with three enterprises and institutions: SAIC Finance, SAIC Insurance, and Shanghai Anji Motor Vehicle Auction Co., Ltd., becoming the first RV company to provide zero down payment for car purchase, the first to propose RV value preservation repurchase, and the first to propose the concept of RV C2C second-hand car auction. At the same time, SAIC MAXUS's original factory car also successfully completed the first test drive activity in Guangde, a professional test site in the RV industry.
1. The first professional test drive in the RV industry
After the launch conference of the 2025 series of RV products, a special test drive activity was also carried out at the Guangde Test Ground, a comprehensive R&D test base with the largest scale, the strongest test capacity, the highest degree of intelligence, and the world's top test facilities. This is the first time in the RV industry to open a test drive activity in a professional test site, allowing users to experience the process of car building and testing at zero distance, and experience the original quality RV.
On the handling ride test loop in the Guangde test drive field (covering 19 typical road surface characteristics at home and abroad), the new 8AT gearbox used in the original factory car of SAIC MAXUS 2025 Life Home Traveler is matched with the SAIC π2.0T high-performance diesel engine, and the peak torque advantage of 375N·m increased to 420N·m is reflected, and the power output is smooth throughout the process. The new pocket gear design, with paddle shifters, has the same control mode as luxury passenger cars, so that there is no frustration in the gear shift operation. On top of that, the 2025 Home Traveler saloon also has a commendable chassis that filters out the vibrations of the road along the way.
There is another link that everyone is looking forward to at the Guangde test site: high-speed loop, Guangde R&D test center has a four-lane high-speed loop with a circumference of 9,036 meters. The design speed in the curve is 65, 115, 165 and 220 km/h respectively; The maximum safe speed is 280 km/h; The maximum roll angle is 35 degrees, which is the smallest in China. The 2025 Life Home Traveler RV entered the high-speed loop of the Guangde test site for high-speed reliability and durability tests; Development and testing of power transmission, wheels and tires, braking performance and other systems; Special performance tests such as smoothness, handling stability, comfort, and maximum speed under high-speed driving; Completed durability test and high-speed gliding test.
The newly launched 2025 Life Home Traveler RV finally came to the Changpo Bridge project at the Guangde Test Ground, and the ramp facilities include the world's first Changpo Bridge and the standard slope two parts: the Changpo Bridge adopts a cement concrete bridge structure, with a slope of 12% and 7% on both sides, with a total length of 1,200 meters and a height difference of about 50 meters, which is mainly used for powertrain development and vehicle durability testing; The standard slope adopts cement concrete pavement, including slopes of 8 degrees, 10%, 20%, 25% and 30% respectively, which are mainly used for transmission development, static short-distance starting test, vehicle reliability and durability test. The purpose of the continuous uphill and downhill is to test the engine and gearbox of the 2025 Life Home Traveler, the 2025 Life Home Traveler adopts a new 8AT gearbox, matched with SAIC π2.0T high-performance diesel engine, new pocket gear design, with the power combination of paddle shifters, plus the ADAS2.0 intelligent driving assistance system specially matched for the size and load of the RV, and successfully and safely passed the long slope bridge test.
2. SAIC Maxus RV signed relevant cooperation with SAIC Insurance, SAIC Finance and SAIC Replacement
On the occasion of the listing conference, in line with the principle of equality, mutual benefit and common development, after friendly consultation, the three parties signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on "SAIC MAXUS original factory car life cycle 2.0" to provide car owners with full life cycle services, from car selection, car purchase, car use to vehicle upgrades, car rentals, second-hand car replacement and other services, to create the country's largest RV sales network and service network, and to achieve the "price" innovation of multiple industries.
