As a practitioner in the machinery industry, you must have heard such a horror story: the screw broke into the hole...... How to take a broken screw or a broken tooth? In fact, there are many methods, and today we will briefly introduce a few.
1
Extractor with a guillotine bolt
This broken bolt was broken completely, and the outer end face was barely exposed
At first, I punch the hole at the position of the center of the broken bolt↓↓
Find a center drill bit↓↓
Drill a hole in the spot where you just punched ↓↓
Change to a slightly larger twist drill bit for drilling↓↓ (the outer diameter of the drill bit must be smaller than the inner diameter of the bolt)
Here's the point, we need a broken bolt extractor and smash it into the bolt ↓↓
Twist the end face with a wrench so that the extractor slowly unscrews ↓↓
Finally, you can unscrew the broken bolt by hand↓↓

Screw slide, left-hand drill and screw extractor
What should I do if the screw on the machine is broken? The general method is to drill holes in the drill screw first, and then use the small tool of the screw extractor to reverse the spin-out, remember to drop a few drops of glue during the removal process. Watch the video to learn more.

Make good use of tools: rubber bands, magic glue, etc
To deal with the problem of bad screws, the use of tools is also a desirable method, and there are three main types here.
01 First of all, rubber bands are very practical in daily life
A rubber band can solve all the problems.
02 Dr. Luo, increase friction
There is a kind of snail doctor, which drips on the broken screw teeth.
At this time, the friction will increase by 500 times, so that the screwdriver firmly grasps the screw teeth and takes them out.
03 Magical liquid, only one drop can take out the broken tap

Other methods
01 Lubrication method
Pour some lubricating oil, use a hairpin or chopping to slowly knock out the reverse on the fracture surface, and pour iron filings from time to time (the most common method in the workshop, but it may not be suitable for threaded holes with too small holes or broken taps that are too long, but you can try).
02 Welding method
Welding a handle or hex nut on the broken section of the tap and gently reversing it (a good method, but it is a bit cumbersome to weld, and again, it is not suitable for taps with smaller diameters).
03 Percussion
Take the steel roller to the top of the tap crack with a small hammer to knock slowly, the tap is more brittle, and finally knock it out into slag, or more simply, directly drill or boring the threaded hole of the broken tap, and re-reaming and tapping (the method is a bit barbaric, if the diameter of the tap is too small, it is not easy to make, the diameter is too large, and it is very tiring to knock).
04 Welding repair method
Weld the threaded hole where the broken tap is located, grind it again, and re-drill the hole, although it is difficult but you can slowly drill into it (if the threaded hole can be repositioned, it is recommended to switch to the original threaded hole when re-drilling and tapping).
05 Slotting method
Cut a slotted groove on the section of the broken tap and twist it in reverse with a screwdriver (that slotted slot is difficult to chisel, and even more difficult if the tap diameter is small).
06 Drilling method
Drill the threaded hole of the broken tap, and then inlay a steel wire screw sleeve or pin or something, and then weld, grind, re-drill and tap, you can do basically the same (although this method is troublesome, but it is very practical, the size of the tap does not matter).
