Gu Liming, an artist with profound attainments in the field of colored pencil and watercolor, is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor of the Department of Painting at the Academy of Arts and Design, Tsinghua University. Born in Weifang, Shandong Province in 1963, he has taught at the Shandong Academy of Arts and the China Academy of Art, where he received his Ph.D. in 2009.
