This June is the 14th National Anti-drug Awareness Month in mainland China, with the theme of "Preventing Drug Abuse among Youth". In order to actively respond to the theme, on the afternoon of June 27, the Shawan Street Narcotics Control Office of Panyu District, together with the Shawan Street Youth League Working Committee, the Shawan Street Customs Working Committee, the Shawan Police Station, the Shawan Street Laisui Personnel and Rental Housing Management Service Center, and the Guangzhou Panyu District Zhiyuan Social Work Service Center came to Shawan Luoyang Primary School to carry out anti-drug publicity activities.
Anti-drug social workers explain anti-drug knowledge through video cases
The activity uses the classroom form to share anti-drug knowledge with students, from "what is a drug", "the harm of drugs" to "how to refuse drugs" three parts throughout the classroom, anti-drug social workers through video cases to explain anti-drug knowledge, so that students can learn anti-drug knowledge in simple terms. At the same time, the anti-drug social worker showed the students with the help of drug models and plant models, so that the students could more intuitively understand how drugs "changed" from a plant to drugs. The anti-drug social worker also explained the appearance and harm of new drugs to the students, and warned the students not to eat things given by strangers. Subsequently, the anti-drug social worker also designed a question and answer session, and the students actively raised their hands to answer the questions, which not only tested the students' mastery of anti-drug knowledge through the form of question and answer interaction, but also stimulated the students to take the initiative to further learn the anti-drug knowledge. A total of 300 teachers and students participated in the event, and the staff of Shawan Street and the grid staff of the rental housing management service center also participated in the publicity activities.
