Bakelite will be filled with a lot of powder during molding, and the mold molding temperature is more than 200 degrees, compared with the general injection mold, there are requirements for high temperature resistance and anti-wear performance. Of course, as long as the normal heat-resistant mold steel is used, this temperature is no problem, and it will not cause the problem of mold deformation and bending.

Tungsten steel is sintered with tungsten carbide particles, with a hardness of about HRA90, and the heat resistance is much higher than that of die steel.

There have been bosses who have asked similar questions before, they use H13 and SKD61 to make bakelite mold inlets, with a hardness of about HRC50, which is not durable enough and has the problem of wear, and the product is clounch.

Later, it was replaced with Cr12MoV, although the hardness is higher and can do about HRC56, but after doing it for a long time, I found that the surface will stick to things and crack, so I can only make do with it.

The ideal material for the bakelite mold inlet is LG mold steel.

LG die steel is a high molybdenum alloy steel, which has better heat resistance than H13, so there is no need to worry about softening and deformation.

The toughness of LG mold steel is 8-9 times that of DC53, and it does not break even when the slender core is bent. The hardness is HRC54-58, with high toughness and high strength, and the surface will not be washed out of the pits.

In the past, there was a boss who made bakelite molds for insert inserts, and used NAK80, 2344 and other mold steels commonly used in plastic molds, and the inserts should be bent. Replace with DC53 with high hardness, and it will be brittle again. Basically, it takes more than ten days for the insert to break, and there is no way to solve it.

Only LG die steel was used, and the production time was not interrupted for a month, and the effect exceeded all the mold steels used before.
