M340 steel features
The smelting is carried out by Bailu's unique pressurized electroslag remelting (PESR) process, and the whole smelting process is carried out in shielding gases (nitrogen, argon), so that the steel is of higher purity, more uniform and finer structure, and has good polishing and dimensional stability. At the same time, the chromium CR content is as high as 18%, which has extremely high wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and has stronger acid resistance. Some engineering plastics (e.g., PC-pow, PA66, Pbt and Pet, etc.) will wear the die steel to a certain extent, especially for plastics containing glass fibers, the wear is more obvious, and M340 can reduce the degree of loss due to its high chromium content, increase the durability of the die steel, and greatly improve the service life of the mold.
