The Jingtang Intercity Railway is an important intercity high-speed railway connecting the Bohai Rim region and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, starting from the comprehensive transportation hub of Beijing Sub-central Station and ending at Tangshan Station in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. The total length of the railway is about 148.7 kilometers, with a maximum design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, and there are 8 stations along the line, including Beijing City Sub-center, Yanjiao, Dachang, Xianghe, Baodi, Yutiannan, Tangshan, Tangshan, etc.
Among them, the section from Yanjiao to Tangshan has been put into operation on December 30, 2022, and the second phase of the Beijing sub-center section of the project is in full swing.
Large-diameter tunnels with double tracks in the future

As the first high-speed rail large-diameter shield tunnel in the sub-center of Beijing, the Yuntidal River Tunnel has a total length of about 1.3 kilometers, which is almost twice the diameter of the subway project.
In the future, this tunnel will be paved with two tracks, the upper and lower tracks of the Jingtang Intercity Railway.
On December 28 last year, the domestic super-large shield machine "Jingtong" was launched, with an excavation diameter of 13.3 meters.
On June 25 this year, on the third basement floor of the comprehensive transportation hub of Beijing City Sub-central Station, the "Jingtong" shield machine ejected the receiving shaft without any difference, and gloriously completed the task of crossing the "one river, one road, one cultural relic" underground.
After the tunnel is completed, the Jingtang Intercity Railway will be connected to the station structure at the east end of the integrated transportation hub of the upper and sub-central stations.
There are also some ancillary works in the subsequent tunnel, such as ditches, cable troughs, etc., which need to be constructed, and then the construction of the under-track structure and the track will be carried out.
Sun Lijun, head of the Jingtang Intercity Railway Project of China Railway 14th Bureau, said that the north side of the "Jingtong" shield machine tunneling line is adjacent to the existing Beijing-Harbin railway line, and the nearest horizontal distance is only 19 meters, and there is an average of one train passing by every 5 to 15 minutes.
In order to ensure the smooth progress of the project and the safety of the existing line operation, the project team adopted high-precision Beidou satellite positioning technology to carry out safety monitoring of the railway subgrade, and strictly controlled the working radius and station position of the on-site construction equipment to ensure that there was no impact on the existing line catenary. The all-weather measurement data and digital intelligent command center are used to guide the shield machine to move forward accurately and smoothly, and the error is controlled at the millimeter level.
