Deep middle channel
As the core transportation hub project of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor is a world-class cross-sea cluster project integrating "bridges, islands, tunnels and underwater interconnection", and it is also one of the most difficult cross-sea cluster projects in the world.
After the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, the driving time between Shenzhen and Zhongshan, which are located on the east and west banks of the Pearl River Estuary, will be shortened from two hours to half an hour, and in the future, it will only take 15 minutes from Nansha to Zhongshan in Guangzhou, and from more than 2 hours to one hour from Zhuhai and Jiangmen to Shenzhen, building a new pattern of transportation development and interconnection in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
As a state-level specialized and new "little giant" enterprise specializing in the paint market, COSCO Kansai Coatings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as COSCO Kansai), a subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING in Hong Kong, is an important participant in the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor project.
The Shenzhong Tunnel has a total length of 24 kilometers, of which the undersea tunnel is about 6.8 kilometers long, including about 5 kilometers of immersed pipe section, making it the longest and widest steel-shell concrete immersed tunnel in the world. In 2018, COSCO Kansai successfully won the bid for the supply of heavy anti-corrosion coatings for all two sections of the steel shells of the immersed tunnel of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, and provided nearly 2,700 tons of "epoxy glass flake" heavy anti-corrosion coatings for 320,000 tons of steel shells.
Because the steel shell immersed tube part of the deep and middle channel adopts the intelligent robot spraying method throughout the whole process, the performance and product quality requirements of the anti-corrosion coating are extremely high. "Epoxy glass flake" heavy-duty anticorrosive coatings have a longer protection period than conventional anticorrosive coatings in harsh corrosive environments. In addition, the VOC emissions of the product in the production process are far lower than the national standard, and it is a green and low-carbon environmental protection product with high performance, low energy consumption and low emission in the real sense.
