The launch date of the Ryzen 9000 processor is still not conclusive, with the latest rumor being on July 31. A Slovenian retailer has opened pre-orders for four Ryzen 9000 series CPUs, with a shipping date of August 2 and a list of pricing prices for each model.
The 16-core flagship Ryzen 9 9950X has a list price of 696.90 euros, the 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X has a list price of 499.90 euros, the 8-core Ryzen 7 9700X has a list price of 399.90 euros, and the 6-core Ryzen 5 9600X has a list price of 309.90 euros. Considering Slovenia's 22% VAT, these prices are lower than the MSRP at the time of the launch of the Ryzen 7000 series.
It was previously reported that AMD will adjust the TDP settings of the Ryzen 7 9700X to achieve a higher all-core boost frequency. However, judging from the information listed on AMD's official website, the Ryzen 7 9700X maintains a 65W TDP. According to recent revelations, the ZEN5 architecture Ryzen 9000 processor has better power consumption and temperature performance than the previous generation, and the ES version of Ryzen 9 9950X has a maximum power consumption of 190W when running the CineBench R23 multi-threaded test, which is about 30W lower than that of Ryzen 9 7950X, and the performance has achieved a reversal of the Core i9-14900KS (power consumption exceeds 300W).
After the Ryzen 9000, the Ryzen 9000X3D with 3D V-Cache is expected to be available in September. It is said that this time AMD will fully unlock the overclocking limit of the X3D series processors for the first time, and will no longer rely on PBO to automatically overclock like the Ryzen 7000X3D.
