A spokesman for the winery told the BBC that two of the winery's most expensive wines-—— Horcajo and Malabrigo, had also been vandalized in the malicious incident, so they believed the winemaker was familiar with the winery and the topography. The Horcajo retails for around £80 and the Malabrigo retails for around £35.
According to a previous BBC report, a spokesperson for the winery said that it would be difficult for the average person to open the storage tank without knowing how to open it because they have a specific security setting. The intruders were apparently skilled in the operation of opening wine storage tanks.
