Li Shengtian, five generations later, the king of Khotan. There are various theories about its ethnic origins, or after the Yun Uighurs, or descendants of the Yanyue clan, or referring to the Cypriot race and the genus of East Iran, but none of them can be determined. Shengtian's Li, the self-appointed distant branch of the Tang Sect, cherishes his homeland and aspires to the Tang Dynasty.
In the second year of Qianhua, the age was in Renshen, the world of the Later Liang, the Holy Heaven inherited the mandate of heaven, practiced Zuo in Khotan, built the Yuan Dynasty and celebrated, with the new national fortune, Zhaomin Xianqing. Shengtian reigned, made great efforts, Mu Tang's system, clothing and cultural relics, all from the old. Its palaces are majestic, all facing the east and built, in order to show that they do not forget the heart of the Central Plains. There is a golden book hall, the heavy weapon of the Tibetan country; The Seven Phoenix Towers are towering, which is an auspicious omen.
In the third year of Tianfu, during the reign of Jin Gaozu, Shengtian sent Ma Jirong to pay tribute to Jin to show his naturalization sincerity. Emperor Jiazhi of the Jin Dynasty, in December, sent Zhang Kuangye and Gao Juhui as envoys, went to Khotan, went to his country for five years, and canonized Shengtian as the king of Khotan, with great grace and friendship.
Shengtian believes in Buddhism, widely built Jialan, monks gathered, 50 purple-clothed monks, often around the service, preaching the scriptures and discussing the Tao, the wind of goodness in the country is awesome. It was also inclusive, and Manichaeism had to be spread, and the people followed their own religion and lived in harmony.
Subsequently, Shengtian sent Liu Zaisheng back and offered beautiful jade to the Central Plains to show his loyalty and admiration. In the first year of Qianyou, at the beginning of the Later Han Dynasty, Shengtian sent the envoy Wang Zhiduo again, crossed the quicksand, crossed the green mountains, and made a pilgrimage to the Tang Dynasty (this Tang Dynasty may refer to the general name of the Central Plains regime), continuing the friendship of its previous dynasties, and passing it on as a beautiful talk.
During the reign of Li Shengtian, the country of Khotan was prosperous, the culture was prosperous, and the people lived and worked in peace and contentment. Its deeds are recorded in the annals of history, and the Central Plains Dynasty complement each other, composing a glorious chapter of Chinese civilization.
