It is understood that the story of the Aoyu and the champion has been circulating in Shachong for a hundred years, and the ancient legend and the imagination of the common people collide with the fire of inspiration, and the excellent traditional Chinese culture of "being grateful, aiming at the Quartet, learning endlessly, and standing bravely at the head of the Aoyu" is integrated into a powerful and beautiful Aoyu dance.

Shachong Aoyu Dance is a unique folk traditional dance art in Shachong Village, which has a history of more than 600 years. After being passed down from generation to generation, the Aoyu Dance has become a must-have performance for local villagers during festive festivals, symbolizing their yearning for a better and happier life. The dance steps of the Ao Fish Dance, inspired by the movements of the fish, the dancer waves the fish body with both arms, leans over to make various movements, although the dance movements of the Ao Fish Dance are not complicated, but varied, the arm strength must be sufficient, and the horse step must be steady, in order to dance out of the agility and domineering of the fish.

Shachong Primary School spared no effort in inheriting the intangible cultural heritage, set up a special Ao Yu Dance work education group, and hired Xing Ze Liang, a provincial intangible cultural heritage inheritor of the Ao Yu Dance from Shachong Village, as a guide, and carried out many wonderful performances under his careful training and inheritance. In recent years, Shachong Primary School has once again integrated resources to help the inheritance and construction of Aoyu culture, whether it is Aoyu dance, or weaving Aoyu, or clay sculpture of Aoyu, all of which are exquisite, and Aoyu culture has been developed with high quality.

It is reported that during the next National Day holiday, Aoyuan Plaza will also stage intangible cultural heritage activities such as Shawan Ho's Cantonese Music Night, Dragon and Lion Competition, and Intangible Cultural Heritage Lion Awakening, and residents are welcome to observe and feel the charm of intangible cultural heritage.
