Recently, NOWWA Coffee and Jianfu Convenience Store announced that they have reached a strategic cooperation, and the two sides will carry out store joint operation under the "coffee + convenience store" model, and the first batch of 150 cooperative joint stores have been officially opened.
FMCG understands that this cooperation marks the official launch of Nova Coffee's "Coffee +" joint venture plan, which aims to provide consumers with more convenient and high-quality coffee products and services by opening joint stores with convenience stores, Internet cafes, chain hotels, bakeries and other business partners. The strategic cooperation between Nova Coffee and Jianfu will mainly focus on the convenience store scene, explore the "coffee +" joint operation model, give full play to the advantages of both parties, and provide consumers with a more convenient and high-quality coffee product consumption experience.
According to the cooperation agreement, Nova Coffee and Jianfu Convenience Store will cooperate to open 500 joint stores in 2024, and plan to reach the goal of 2,000 joint stores in 2025, covering Fujian, Jiangxi, Sichuan and Jiangsu provinces. In the first week of cooperation between Jianfu convenience store and Nova Coffee, the average daily sales volume increased fivefold, and the unit price of coffee sales also increased from 6 yuan to 12-15 yuan.
"We believe that convenience stores are still an important scenario for coffee consumption in the future," Zhang Li, chairman of Jianfu, said in an interview, adding that in Taiwan and Japan, each convenience store can sell more than 200 cups of coffee per day on average, but in mainland China, this number still has a lot of room for growth. He further said that Nova Coffee has strong operational capabilities and brand awareness, and through this cross-border cooperation, Jianfu will leverage Nova's brand influence and product strength, and Nova will also use Jianfu's channel resources to jointly promote the development of the coffee industry and create more value for society and consumers.
