Mongolia has a long history, China's first private railway, China's first clay tennis court, Yunnan's first customs, Yunnan's first foreign bank and many other "firsts" were born here; The First Congress of the Communist Party of China in Yunnan was held in Mengzi Chanipi, and the Southwest Associated University once ran a school in Mongolia. Revolutionary culture and Juntun culture complement each other, and traditional culture, modern culture and national culture are integrated and symbiotic, making Mengzi gradually become a new direction of tourism in southern Yunnan.
Colorful activities highlight the new vitality of cultural tourism
"The living environment here is good, the food is delicious, the people are very welcoming, and I am very happy to come to Mengzi to travel." Tourist Lu Luzhi said happily after participating in Mengzi's "Spring Retreat Tour".
In recent years, more and more Viet Nam tourists have organized group tours to Monteong. "What impressed me the most was the cross-bridge rice noodles, the soup was delicious, there were many patterns, and it was very unique." Viet Nam tourist Le Thi Lien said that by tasting cross-bridge rice noodles, he deepened his understanding of Chinese food culture.
Since the beginning of this year, Mengzi City has attracted a large number of tourists to come and play by holding mass performances during the Spring Festival, holding various theme activities such as music festivals, village BAs, 3×3 men's basketball friendship games and Yi torch festivals, and the cultural tourism market is thriving.
Red tourism opens up a new path for cultural tourism
In recent years, Mengzi City has made use of red resources to create red tourism projects, launched the "Red Heart Tourism" tourism boutique route, and formed a red research route, so as to tell the red story of Mengzi, do a good job in the integration and development of red culture and economy and society, and empower high-quality development. Relying on Chanippi, the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China in Yunnan, a national 4A-level tourist attraction, Mengzi has carried out a red brand promotion action, and in the first half of 2024, it will receive more than 350,000 tourists.

At present, around the cultural and economic circle around Nanhu Lake, Mengzi City is promoting the renovation project of the historical and cultural block of Dongdajie, and building the block into a historical and cultural park of Southwest Associated University with the standard of national 4A-level tourist attractions.
