In November 2014, the industry standard for tourism and leisure demonstration cities was released and has been officially implemented. On August 3, 2017, the China National Tourism Administration awarded the first batch of top ten Chinese tourism and leisure demonstration cities at the 3rd Global Tourism Promotion Conference. Liu Deqian believes that this move means that in the next few years, the climax of creating a tourism and leisure demonstration city in the country is coming.
