Xue Shaopeng (薛 Shaopeng), also known as Daozu (道祖), was a native of Chang'an (present-day Xi'an, Shaanxi Province) and a famous calligrapher of the Song Dynasty. It is on a par with Mi Xue, known as "Mi Xue".

Xue Shaopeng's "Wrapped In the Thepical Bag", rubbings, cursive, Shanghai Municipal Library collection. Xue Shaopeng said to himself, "The secret is in the return, and yes is the effect." Apparently, the "Wrapped Fish Post" was received by Xue Shaopeng after he arrived in Beijing.

This piece of calligraphy is neat and rigorous, and it is closer to Wang Xizhi's "Huangting Jing" and Wang Xianzhi's "Luoshen Endowment" than the "Title Praise Tang Tuo Hard Yellow Ben Lanting". Xue Shaopeng's two inscriptions do not see the traces of the inscriptions of the Tang Dynasty calligraphy in his early years, and the variety of his writing style is impressive.
