A duck blood vermicelli soup, priced at 22 yuan / part, but actually sold for 30 yuan / part, Nanjing Qinhuai District Ice Rong Tea House was fined 140,000 yuan for price fraud.

With the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day festivals approaching, in order to guide operators to operate in compliance and consciously abide by price policies, the Jiangsu Provincial Market Supervision Bureau has announced a number of typical cases of price violations.

According to the disclosure, on October 21, 2020, the Nanjing Qinhuai District Market Supervision Bureau inspected the hotel and found the above situation.

The parties claimed that since October 1, 2020, the price has been adjusted due to the increase in the ingredients of "duck blood vermicelli soup", but due to work negligence, the relevant information has not been changed in the price announcement.

After investigation, the parties did not publicize the sale of 3723 copies of "duck blood vermicelli soup" according to their prices, and the illegal income was 29784 yuan.

The Nanjing Qinhuai District Market Supervision Bureau believes that the hotel lures consumers to consume with a lower price publicity, and finally settles at a high price for profit, which constitutes price fraud, violating the relevant provisions of the Price Law of the People's Republic of China, ordering the parties to stop the illegal acts and giving administrative penalties of confiscating 29,784 yuan of illegal gains and fining 148,920 yuan.
