With the departure of the last group of tourists, Wang Deli carefully carried the grapes on the table into the plastic bucket. "Just weighed it, there should be more than a dozen pounds left, all picked today, taken to the county town to entrust friends to sell at the night market." In order to give tourists the best taste experience, Wang Deli and Luo Lingling insisted on serving the freshest grapes picked on the day.

"Make the grape industry bigger"

Moso Zhu Shan Village, as the name suggests, grows moso bamboo on the mountain, but its main industry is grape cultivation. As a natural village under the jurisdiction of Nanyi Village, Caiwan Town, Quanzhou County, Guilin City, Guangxi, There are only 46 households and 156 people in Maozhu Mountain, and 320 acres of grapes are planted continuously.

On April 25, 2021, Maozhushan Village welcomed distinguished guests - General Secretary Xi Jinping came to Maozhushan Village to inspect and visit the home of villager Wang Deli after visiting the Memorial Park of the Xiangjiang Campaign of the Red Army's Long March.

"General Secretary Xi Jinping walked into my house, and the whole family was very surprised and excited, and that scene our family will never forget." Wang Deli's wife, 39-year-old Luo Lingling, was in a difficult mood for a long time.

Luo Lingling said that General Secretary Xi Jinping is very approachable, he carefully inspected the living room, kitchen, bathroom and smoked bacon firewood room at home, and from time to time asked some details of water and electricity, "really put the people's chai rice oil and salt into their hearts."

When sitting around the living room and chatting about home, Wang Deli briefed General Secretary Xi Jinping on the situation at home. His family was one of the first grape growers in the village, planting a total of 12 acres, and he went out to work when he was idle. Luo Lingling sat on the side, nodding from time to time, it was the husband and wife who worked together and relied on their industrious hands to grow grapes, and the whole family lived a happy life.

"Moso Zhu Mountain, mud tile house, life bitter, pumpkin soup, there are women who do not marry Mo Zhu Lang." A song that once circulated in the local area, exhausting the poor and backward appearance of Maozhushan Village in the past. "When I first married in, the road was not repaired, and it was dusty on sunny days and muddy on rainy days." Luo Lingling said.

In fact, long before she married in, Wang Deli's father began to try viticulture, when the variety was single and the harvest was average. In 2008, after Wang Deli and Luo Lingling came together, the couple began to try to grow more grape varieties, hoping to increase production and income.

The grape planting technique, Luo Lingling learned from scratch, suffered a lot. She actively participates in technical training courses, and when the couple has time to discuss and study planting techniques...

With the maturity of grape planting technology and the improvement of the market, Wang Deli's family has continuously expanded the scale of planting, with 12 acres of grapes and a family income of 140,000 yuan in 2020.

When Wang Deli went out to work in his spare time, Luo Lingling took on all the housework in the family. Through the efforts of these years, the former mud brick house has become a three-story small Western-style building.

"Good days are all struggles. You have chosen the path of growing grapes, and you have been going down this way, and now you have tasted the sweetness and feel that there is a rush. The earnest encouragement of General Secretary Xi Jinping has made the couple more diligent, and Wang Deli often plunged into the vineyard to study and did not come out for a long time. From August until October, various varieties of grapes from Mount Moso Zhushan came to market, and the villagers ushered in a sweet harvest season.

"When the general secretary came, the grapes had just blossomed and are now ripe, and we would love to let him taste the sweet grapes of Moso Zhushan." Wang Deli was busy with his hands, and his face was full of smiles, "This year's grape mu yield is more than 3,000 pounds, about 500 pounds more than last year, and the price has also gone up, and each pound can earn 5 cents more." Villagers have always kept in mind the entrustment of General Secretary Xi Jinping and strived to make the grape characteristic industry bigger and better. ”

Today's Maozhushan Village is a well-known professional grape growing village, and the radiation has driven the surrounding villages to plant 3,000 mu of grapes, and the per capita income has reached more than 30,000 yuan.

"Buy a car and open a farm stay"

From the Red Army Long March Xiangjiang Battle Memorial Park to Maozhushan Village, in less than 20 minutes by car, the red tourist route has already extended here. After General Secretary Xi Jinping came to inspect, many tourists came to Visit Maozhushan Village and sit down at Wang Deli's home.

In May this year, Wang Deli and Luo Lingling opened a commissary in front of their homes to sell local products and water drinks. It's ripe for grapes, and homegrown grapes are selling well.

In the evening, Wang Deli would load the grapes left over from the day into an electric car, greet the sunset, and ride briskly to the county seat of Jeonju.

Mozhu Mountain is nearly 20 kilometers away from the county seat, three kilometers out of the village cement road, and then into the traffic of the national highway. Over the years, he has gone out from the village to work, and then from outside back to Maozhu Mountain, a road that carries Wang Deli's long family dream.

As the county seat approaches, the various shops lining the national highway are crowded. Wang Deli rode an electric car, couldn't help but look at the Wuling car line a few times, and confidently said: "At the end of the year, I will also buy a Wuling van, which can not only sit people, but also pull goods." Today, he has made up his mind to stay in Mozhushan to develop the grape industry and wants to open a farm.

Moso Zhushan grapes are famous far and wide, often have tourists come to taste, Wang Deli feels that his own buildings and backyards are quite large, opening a farm is also the common idea of the couple, "I am still confident in my own craftsmanship, look at my family's firewood room, smoked bacon is particularly fragrant, we will also do the specialties of the whole state, to ensure that tourists eat and want to come." Wang Deli said with a smile on his face.

"Grape base" becomes "leisure scenic spot"

"Ben Xiaokang Fang knows that the red sun is warm and the party is benevolent in the prosperous world", the big red couplet of "Guotai Min'an" is attached to the wall pillar of Wang Deli's family building, which is particularly dazzling.

On both sides of the building, two red melaleuca trees are full of branches, "when the flowers bloom, they are like strings of red lanterns, which is particularly beautiful." After Luo Lingling married into The Mozhu Mountain, she watched the two melaleuca trees grow from small saplings to taller than adults.

The living room window is a few clear, and the wall is plastered with the awards of two daughters who are in elementary school. "They are my intimate little cotton jackets, not only have good grades, but usually come home from school and help the family with housework when they have time." Wang Deli said that the two daughters have added a lot of laughter and happiness to the family.

"Now that the national fertility policy has been liberalized and the family conditions are becoming more and more generous, we are also willing to have a third child." Wang Deli said.

Stroll through the village of MosoZhu Mountain, where the buildings are covered in greenery. Wang Junrong, secretary of the Nanyi Village Branch and director of the village committee, introduced that as early as more than ten years ago, Maozhushan began the construction of new rural areas, which not only unified the construction style of buildings, but also greatly improved the living environment of villagers through road hardening and street lamp lighting projects.

Through the integrated development of the grape industry and rural tourism, MozhuShan Village has truly realized the transformation of "grape base" into a "leisure scenic spot", and newly created thousand-year-old sour jujube trees, Moso bamboo passages, lotus pond fishing and other scenic spots, so that tourists will never return.

"Next, one of our plans is to improve the grape varieties, further build red tourism and cultural routes, and improve public facilities such as water circuit networks to build Mosozhu Mountain better." Wang Junrong said.
